Every move Rob has made since then and continues to make, convinces me he wasn’t the creative mind behind putting that squad together.

Meh.. revisionist history. All we did was add Danny Green, Avery Bradley and Dwight Howard to the players we already had. Bradley was supposedly injury prone, and close to being washed, and Dwight was looked at, as a potential locker room cancer. Nobody wanted Howard, we gave him a non garunteed contract. A lot of pundits were unimpressed with our offseason that year, besides picking up AD.

I mean I could see the argument that he lucked into that supporting cast being as good as it ended up being, or that he lucked into the roster construction because many of those players were all that were left by the time Kawhi spurned us.

But I don’t see how there can be any debate that Rob put together that roster. If Rob wasn’t the creative mind behind putting that squad together, who was? Rambis? Klutch?

You are either lying or haven't been a Lakers fan for very long. His moves after the title run were widely perceived as very good. The Lakers were considered the favorite to repeat by many experts and fans and if it wasn't for the injuries, they may very well have done it.

He made many mistakes as well but to criticize every move he made since the title run is kind of riddiculous.

    I don’t lie.
Nah, man, I’ve seen em all built and crumble since the mid 1980s, but keep assuming.
The facts remain, regardless of all the hallow rhetoric: he blew up what worked, is awful at the details, gives away players in trades, is in love with having more useless guards than actually filling out roster needs and over corrects each and every summer.
The majority of “The experts” are proven wrong, every single year with their picks.
Every “contender” could have won it all every year if all of their “what if’s” came true.
Y’all can stand by the insane and untruthful “EVERYTHING IS TO BLAME ON THE INJURIES” credo, but you can’t force fans like me to buy into that bag of lies.

That’s funny. I don’t ever remember telling you my age, fool.
    Still don’t lie.

    *************************** WARNING *******************************************
We as a staff on LB have been very lenient with warnings for personal attacks. Usually just giving a verbal warning if the conduct doesn't continue. I think that lenient attitude is being taken advantage of around here recently, so now I think I need to be a bit more firm.

This back and forth attack between FrontofJersey and Slick has garnered both of them an official warning, and a suspension from LB for a time. We will not be tolerating personal attacks anymore. It brings the whole forum down and ruins discussions.

This is a general notice to everyone that I'm going to be more heavy-handed in this regard, so please do not break LB's rules. Attack the post, not the poster.

" I don't believe you, you are going to need more people. "

Still lying, your lingo definitely puts you in that age bracket IMO. I probably have kids older than you. LOL

LaMelo out for start of season. We have the first domino in the tanking run falling even before the start of the season
Rozier would be absolutely great here. If they were willing to add PJ Washington I would do it in a heartbeat.
    They may want picks though

Rozier is owed a lot of money for the next few seasons. (100 mil for the next 4 seasons) Is he that much better than Nunn, Beverley or Schroeder at that price?

It's a good contract, especially with the new CBA coming. He is a perfect compliment to LeBron and would shoot lights out with that spacing. He would be nice too has a 3rd guy with AD and the next superstar post-Lebron

I agree that Nunn, Pat and Schroder look good right now. Also, I don't imagine we would want a 4y contract

Oubre would need to come too to match salaries, which would give us a nice wing that we lack. PJ would work well with AD too, would be an interesting combo. Both are expirings

But I don't see Charlotte doing that deal even if they decide to tank. They will try to get a couple of picks I imagine, if they go that route
