We saw Wade and Lebron step up their game in the next season in 09 reason was I believe they trained with the Mamba. I hope to see some 1 on 1 trash talk games with Kobe.
The Redeem Team Documentary is a must see. So nice to see a lot of Mamba content. Also respect to D-Wade and Born for really featuring his impact.
lol classic Lebronze talking out of his a** most of the documentary. Kobe came in a bailed him out of not choking in 08 again, he brought the edge to that star studded soft minded team. Something that our Laker team needs today, play intense defense, do the dirty work, take pride in the little things instead of stats.
Just watched it with my wife. Well done production all the way around IMO. Props to LeBron and D Wade for how it turned out. Definitely gave Kobe his just dues as well as the rest of the team and set the history well. Well edited. Yeah must see if you want to see Kobe on the mission of his career to that point.
I remember watching that gold medal game late at night, I was a little drunk, but it what a great game to watch and watch the black mamba take over that game was special.
Kobe was exactly what that olympic team needed, he was serious about his craft and brought some well needed grit and intensity to that team which was well needed. I think though Kobe may have learn how to work with players better from that experience, which showed when he led the Lakers to back to back after 08
Yup. That squad would have been waxed, again, by Greece without Kobe. Even if by some miracle they would have made it all the way to matching up with Spain, they would have been embarrassed. It’s not even debatable after watching this that Kobe was on another level, high above everyone else- including LeBronze.
As mentioned above I thought the production was well done, and not sure what LeBron “talking out of his a**” comment was about. He and Wade both talked a lot, and were major players in getting this film produced. Kobe totally got the respect he deserved from all the dialogue from everyone. Of course agree Kobe was the key player the team had to have to win.
Good doc. Props to Bron and Wade. Didn't make it about them, which can be the natural gravity to something you produce when you're in it. Some nice Kobe focus. Seeing V and the girls there to congratulate him after winning is still sad. It was cool to see Dwight and Pau wearing Kobe shirts during their interviews for this.
and it's not like he played during an era when the US was whooping up on the world. He came in after the Americans lost and righted the ship against some outstanding international teams. Kudos. Just another reason why leBronze will never be the goat to so many.
Team USA Kobe is one of my favorites. We got to see a side of him we rarely did up until that point. Sacrificing offense to play defense, taking on that leadership role which transfered over to the Lakers' repeat run.
It just seamed that the new younger generation couldn't understand someone like Kobe. They all wanted to be buddy buddy with everyone, but he had to really dial in which meant sacrificing things to stay focus and motivated to the end game. That new soft image conscious generation actually benefited more with the black mamba experience, because look at Lebron, Melo and Wade in 09, they took their games to another level.
