I’ve been assuming that Darvin had some input, or a lot of input, as to a couple pick ups from players that were realistically available.

We were up in the first half again. Those are good signs.
This team will definitely be competitive. I think we will still get torched by Warriors, Bucks and so on if we get them in a good night but in most games we will be better than last year

About what I expected from 6 of our main rotation pieces being out.

I thought Bryant looked better. Reaves had a strong start to the game before kind of sputtering out a bit after the first quarter. It’s unfair to ask him to carry a team like that however.

bryant was probably the only guy who played better than i'd expect, which was a little sad. but yeah, what are you going to do? we'll hopefully never see a single lineup that was out there all season long.

that said, i'm not sure we're in position to punt full preseason games left and right like we have. this is valuable time to look at combinations and try to learn the system against live competition, and last night's game was basically a summer league game.

the more getting a rhythm bleeds into the regular season, the uglier the start will be.

Absolutely true. But, it’s stupid of the NBA to roster back to backs in the preseason. I mean that’s one of the easiest ways to pick up an injury - ramping up and playing back to backs when your body isn’t adjusted. Stupid!

Yeah I was thinking that too these days.

We are halfway and Russ/LeBron have a full match played (2 halves) and AD has half a match.

Hopefully we stop playing Pippen, Christie and so on in the next games

I hope the 2nd to last game (if we have everyone available) we treat like a regular season game. Regular rotations and mins for everyone. Rest the last game if you must.

Part of Ham's strategy seems to be not to take preseason seriously by not having the starters build any cohesiveness in defense of "health".

And will expect this group that's already put together poorly to get right in the first few games of the season where you play juggernauts most of the time. Bold strategy Cotton, let's see how it plays out....
