Beat me to it. I wouldn't include 2 unprotected 1sts either.

Talks this week show that at least we're still trying. Guess there's that takeaway.

I would deal the two picks in the Indy deal.

    Beverley/Nunn/Schroder
    Hield/Reaves/Walker/Christie
    LeBron/Brown Jr/
    AD/JTA/Gabriel
    Turner/Bryant/Jones

That's a Championship caliber squad. You absolutely put yourself in the mix.

Caruso probably stays because we are not paying that horrendous money to Russ. KCP and Kuz made less. And Harrell signed 10M to make the trade work if I'm not mistaken. THT would not have Russ in the team and would likely play much better in his natural position. But that's history
Yeah, the starting 5 we get would be appealing to throw in the 2 picks.
A GREAT starting 5 and still Schroder, Reaves, JTA, Bryant, Jones, maybe Nunn coming off the bench. That's a good 9/10 man rotation. And we would survive better without AD. Even without LeBron.

I'm not sure we find two better fits to LeBron AD for next year either. So it's a move for 2 years.
I don't think whatever we do, we get a better starting 5 then that in the next 2 years unless we sign Kyrie somehow

2 unprotected first is insane for those 2 players.

I'm fine giving up 2 picks, but both have to be protected picks...at least 1-8 protected imo.

But to be honest, we really aren't in a great position...we're literally pushing Russ out with he acquisition of 2 PG's in the last month (Bev/Schroder)...our roster is severely imbalanced right now as a result that a trade is absolutely needed to balance it out.

In isolation no. But can you imagine any other two players that fit better this squad the next two years?
One is the shooter LeBron wants since he got here with a contract that is an expiring after the year LeBron leaves, hopefully. The other is a perfect fit to AD, both when AD is healthy by making an unbreakable duo and when is injured by covering for him.

Is good enough to win the championship? Arguably. We would be a tier 2 contender in the group of Miami, Boston, Philly, Phoenix behind Bucks, Warriors and Clippers if healthy.
Is it the ceiling of the next 2 years for this roster with LeBron?
    I believe so.

So the question is if 2 future picks are worthy two punchers' chance years. Being the alternative being outside the title discussion and aiming for a 2nd round playoffs elimination being a successful season

Kyrie was worth the picks, that package isn't. Hield is a nice piece, but he's not that big of a difference maker over what we had in Monk. Turner is a good fit, but the injury history is terrifying. We could be gutted talent wise with no picks, and I still don't think the Hield/Turner addition, even with the Westbrook subtraction, does it for us.

They have to be protected (or one unprotected and a second rounder). I really like the Pacers deal but those two are not worth that much value. Turner is a late lottery and Hield a mid first rounder based on value if you just go straight up.

    Can't do that deal.

But just know this roster isn't competing for a ring unless an in-season trade happens.

And if the Lakers come out struggling out the gate, will that prompt Rob to re-evaluate his stance on those picks?

Because the former is quite possible.

And when Hield suffers the Lakers effect on his shooting, which has declined for 4 or 5 years straight, and Turner turns in another half a season? We would look totally ridiculous, for giving up 2 1st rd picks. That is a terrible idea. Bev and Walker match Turner's contract, I'd be looking at him on his own later. We have two of the best players in the NBA,on our team. Folks are killing me with this perfect roster, just to be able to compete nonsense.

He tried to add class and dignity to the team.

A clear violation of C Bags policy.
