i think you're doing a bit, but: rambis is unaccountable for anything and yet has a hand in everything. recipe for organizational disaster.

what would it take for rambis to be fired? how do we know if rambis is going a good job?

these answers are easy for vogel, rob, ham, on down to the players. what are the answers for kurt?

    All legitimate questions

But to be fair, if we don't know if he's doing a good job, why do we want to fire him?

Maybe he's the glue holding the whole crew together. Maybe he clotheslined Klutch in the last company meeting and told them whats up.

The problem with him being unaccountable is we don't and will never know squat. The optics are not good, especially when we underachieve. I would rather have Jeannie fire Rob and hire Rambis as his replacement than keep going on this way.

right. because at least then we'd know who was going to get canned if things didn't go right. and kurt's making decisions anyway....

right. if rob does this, it's part of the grounds for termination.

it's interesting how personal the family ownership of the lakers is, tbh. i mean, that's a ton of cash they turn down to basically honor their father's legacy.

if it were me, i'd be like...i think dad would understand. time for me to blaze my own trail with a billion in seed money.

If the family legacy means that much to her, then sell off everything but 5% (or some other small slice). That way you're still involved even if it's only in name at that point.

I think her dad would rather her become a name on a list for a championship powerhouse than the headline name for a mom and pop play in team. That's doing more damage to the name than good. We've had two really good years in a decade and A LOT of embarrassing years in that same span.

Man that guy just totally vanished from the public eye. Don’t think he ever wanted it really. Those baseball cap wearers you know.

Sell the team! Get rid of everybody! Sounds a lot like the summer before we won the chip. Folks were picketing the Staples Center demanding all that. We went out and won a chip, with all that disfunction and stingy spending. How soon we forget.

Really dislike that she played the woman card, my concerns with how she’s been running things have zero to do with her being a woman

i really don't know what this irwin character is always driving at, tbh.

he's not entirely wrong, but his obsession seems to be with rob, in particular, which makes no sense to me.

"hold someone accountable!!!" i mean, they fired vogel. that was who they held accountable. i just don't get why folks go after rob instead of the kurt/linda thing, which is just 10X more problematic.

Not to go all "Slick" but if LeBron and AD and Nunn had all been healthy last year two thirds of the crap constantly being tossed at her around here wouldn't have been relevant about last season. Westbrook is a different story and still would have cost a chance at a ring IMO, with that particular roster, and Vogel having no authority to deal with him as Ham has. Still those 3 guys healthy and at least we would have been into the playoffs for at least one round. This Lakers were "no good" crap from hater Irwin (seems to be what he revels in) would not have been there for ammunition.
