Speak for yourself. I found that documentary on the shores of New Jersey to be incredibly informative.

You have to consider what we brought in and what we got rid of with that talent
Obviously, we squandered some with RW but as good as Ingram is, AD is a lot better. Cleaning up Mozgov's contract with the dissident D'Angelo was a shrewd move by Rob and the stretch of Deng. What will really define Rob's career is what he does right now. How he bounces back from Westbrook.

the dlo trade would have been much more shrewd had we retained lopez (at 3 freaking million per i might add!). otherwise, it was pretty magic johnson-ish.

Yeah it’s time to move on. If the Nets are happy to let him walk for nothing rather than get a 47 mil expiring, 2 first round picks and probably 2nd round picks as well, that’s on them. Russ needs to be moved before training camp, hopefully Rob is working the phones

Knicks Offered Evan Fournier, Obi Toppin, Five First Round Picks To Jazz For Donovan Mitchell

    This could be an idea…

    Knicks get Mitchell
Utah gets Westbrook, Toppin, Quickley, 5 Knicks pick, 1 laker pick
    Lakers get Fournier, Conley, Reddish

If the Jazz aren’t interested in basically Fournier, Toppin and picks… maybe it is appealing to them to salary dump both Fournier and Conley and also get the Lakers pick. Knowing Ainge, he would actually keep Westbrook to sell tickets but suck at the same time, and salary dump Westbrook at the trade deadline for another pick.

The Lakers can get much needed depth and solid fits around AD/Lebron.

The Nets don’t seem to be serious about trading either guy at the moment. We definitely need to move on and focus on building a complete roster. Bringing in Conley and some solid role players while keeping picks would be quite the move for the front office and restore some faith in them (at least for me). We’d still have some assets for additional moves later in the season.

I'm not sure how much a Turner/Hield deal makes us closer to a contender, but its definitely more than having WB here.

Did he really “do it” by being a glorified cheerleader for FIVE seasons? No way, man. Being on the team, and not playing is much different than putting your body on the line every other night for 82+ games a year.

Smokescreen to create a false sense of leverage. They want out of the Kyrie business just as much as we want out of the Westbrick game.

Unless they are trying to create leverage with another team there is no leverage to be had. Reports are we have already offered Russ and our 2 first rounders and probably 2nd rounders as well and the Nets don’t want the deal. We have nothing left to trade, they don’t want to deal with us. We are running out of time to make a deal, Russ cannot be on this team at training camp, hell not even by LeBron’s San Diego player camp, or we are punting on the season. If Russ is here to start the season, we aren’t winning a thing, he must go, ESPECIALLY with this roster as it’s constructed. It wasn’t put together with Russ in mind, it was put together as if we had deals for shooters in mind that are not currently here.

If Kyrie really wanted to be a Laker (like AD), he would already be here. Let's move on, before it's too late to snatch someone decent again.

my thought exactly yesterday. even if he doesn't really want to be there long-term or whatever, he doesn't HAVE to be getting together with other players on the team, etc. he's not acting like someone who is trying to leverage his way out (like kd still is).

again, i'm ok with it. still feel like other things can happen with russ.

Kyrie probably changes his mind several times each day. No doubt he thought there would be a larger market for his services.

If he wanted to be here we’d at the very least be hearing more about him pushing for it.
