    yea I am pumped for a 6th seed and an early bounce . Just cuz we might make the playoffs don’t mean we going anywhere.

    Yeah I'm pretty shocked he signed this without us making a trade...thought for sure he was going to hold that over our heads.

    It is good that the Lakers extended him - because now they're committing to winning it all NOW and not starting over. It's smart for them to try and win now given the picks/pick swaps that we have with New Orleans. Gotta maximize LeBron/AD for a few more years and I'm also thinking that the Lakers are looking at the Warriors and saying hey, they took a year off and didn't make the playoffs then roared back the next year and won it all. Maybe that can be us?

    Darvin-LeBron-AD era has begun.

    He’s been chippy lately … would probably make it one of those Soviet era models with the turrets that blow 70 feet into the air when hit. Yowza!!

    Wow that’s huge, I actually didn’t expect him to sign it until we made a move. This gives us leverage, teams can’t say “if you don’t give up ___ LeBron won’t extend” to try to gouge us more. I don’t know that any trade makes us contenders right now, but you have to think Russ is gone and some moves are coming with LeBron signing this, there has to have been some commitment to trying to win.

    Every move they need to make is to be about competing for a championship. This move does not get us closer to that goal and I strongly dislike it

    i'm still not sure why you're so proud about this. him signing it late was the evidence that it wasn't a foregone conclusion. the only proof that he was NEVER considering not taking it would have been immediate agreement.

    i don't like that we gave him the player option, though. lets him still hold something over our heads. though maybe it's just to chase bronny elsewhere, i guess.

    It was always evident to me he was signing with us for a full max.

    Not proud. Just know he wants to stay here. Should have been obvious instead of the pages of spamming, debate, and whatever otherwise went on while I avoided and will continue to...
