I’ll give up the picks as long as we get a shooter or two back as well. Curry or Harris both.

I quit reading because Lebron was healthy and we sucked last year. We’ve seen the best Lebron has left. It’s all downhill from here

I think it’s a testament to how he manipulates franchises, depletes them them of their draft assets, gets “friends” ridiculous contracts, leverages Rich Paul, and more. He left because he milked them for all they could give him and the writing was on the wall. He wasn’t about to stick around and get blamed for his bad LeGM’ing.

    great player

Lots of baggage comes with him

Hopefully we’re smart enough as a franchise to not empty the cupboard for year 20 LeBron.

I think we’ll be disappointed with results no matter how much HGH and adrenochrome he takes (allegedly)

People said that about Jabbar and he managed to win a few rings on his way down that hill.

I would guess Rob is dead set on Kyrie.

I'm not a fan of giving 2 picks away for a guard over 30 and has mercurial as Kyrie is; that spells receive for disaster.

But if we do give up 2 picks, please get Curry or Harris back. I'd prefer Curry.

Either way, the shooting issues would be solved and we can really unlock LBJ and AD.

Then, we're a real contender. IMO.

Looks like very thing I dreaded when we acquired Lebron is about to happen. He’s like a locust. He depletes all your resources, then he’s gone. This clip always makes me think of Lebron when he’s in your town.

We were going nowhere before he joined us. I'll take the chip and AD being a Laker over Ingram, Randle and all the other guys we got rid off. We'll bounce back, besides... Bron isn't going anywhere yet :p

The intrigue of a Lebron/Kyrie/AD trio is that they should be better than the 2016 Cleveland roster which won the championship. Lebron is no longer in his prime, but is still very effective. Kyrie is now in his prime, and AD is a much much better player than Kevin Love.

The 2016 Cleveland supporting cast wasn't much to write home about either, but they had a great coach in Ty Lue. It remains to be seen if Darvin Ham can do a comparable job.

Even if a Kyrie for Russ trade goes through, the obvious need still remains - we need those role players that can hit open 3s. That could be helped if we do get either Harris or Curry included, but I have a feeling a 3 team trade with Indiana is still in the cards:

This is what makes alot of sense for all teams involved I think. Brooklyn saves about $90 million in luxury tax alone by doing this. Indiana gets out of paying Buddy Hield $22million for the next 3 years. Lakers get 3rd star, Pelinka's reincarnation of Kobe Bryant, and Seth Curry. All 3 are deep threats from the perimeter.

With this depth chart, we'd challenge anyone night in and night out:

    Kyrie/Curry/Nunn
    Hield/Reaves/Walker/Christie
    Lebron/JTA/Johnson/Brown
    AD/Gabriel
    Bryant/Jones

Agreed. I've got reservations about Kyrie too that I've gone into multiple times. But I do think he along with Curry / Harris gets us closest to actually being a real contender which is a must if we're giving up multiple picks.

if harris showed up and looked like he did pre-injury, then yes, i'd say it could move us into contender status. that's a big if, though.

Then Russ, THT, both picks are gone and we're dealing in pick swaps too. With limited assets, that's the only way you get into "every resource possible" territory.

Yeah, I agree. If they decided to go that route, then do it and let's move on. This is really painful right now. We need some sense of direction... and I know Russ isn't part of that conversation.

Don't think its a coincidence this came out yesterday, with Durant going nuclear I think its a wise move to throw the Nets a lifeline. If they're finally accepting they need to make a KD trade, makes sense to now up the offer for Kyrie a bit to just get it done.
