Lakers don't make excuses, so I am unable to read that. If you need to work on something, work on it and see you next year.

He is I'm sure, plus putting on 10lbs or so of muscle up top that's needed as legs were already solid as evidenced by his box outs and positioning down low against bigger players. All so @KareemtheGreat33 can mistake the added weight for FAT.

Does anyone one else come on Lakersball, look at the different threads….then read the Reaves thread if you want happy news and the Russ thread if you want sad news? What a long summer it’s been waiting for something to happen.

If he no longer defend as well as before gaining weight, then it’s fat.

Believe that when I see it, but the best 5 should start period. If he’s in the top 5, let him start.

i totally believe it. he was the best sg on the team last year, and we didn't pick up a better one this year.

My only concern is stamina. I'm not sure he makes up that ground in one off season. If he did, I fully back the move because he's a great starting lineup glue guy. But if not and he's gassed again before the back nine, then we're in some poo poo.

he can start and only play 20-25mpg, though, right? just 4 short shifts. that would give walker/THT/nunn chances to play while allowing our best complementary player to share the floor with the stars.

I definitely can see him being the starter based on the roster as it is. I think we will make some moves and this will change but if we aren't able to move Russ then I give Reaves the nod.

if we trade for Hield AND Curry like some suggest, he would be the 3rd best SG immediately.

AR plays defense, good basketball IQ, does all the dirty work. As good as he was last year I wouldn't write him off despite who we pick up. I am all for the best five out there. With Ham being a defensive, team first kind of guy, I like AR's chances. He needs to bring his three point percentage up which I'm guessing he worked on relentlessly. I am kind of tired of the three point specialists that kill us in every other area, and becoming a Laker most succumb to the pressure and can't shoot threes anyway.

Have fun in Indiana kid. I suspect Rob will "throw him in" in the Turner/Hield deal because, why the f*** not.
