Then he goes to the Union who files a grievance. It would be a worse distraction than playing Russ 12 mpg.

KD getting that treatment like Kobe after his 1st 3peat, can't win without Shaq. KD is a hell of a player

A grievance on what grounds? Players have been ask to stay at home before, as long as they get their salary there are no grounds to file upon. Now if they aren’t paying you….that’s a totally different thing.

Yeah it’s been a very newsworthy day.

There have been reports that the Lakers may or may not trade for Kyrie, but it’s likely dependent on whether or not the Nets trade KD first.

There are also rumors of some new reports that journalists will likely break tomorrow. Word on the street is that tomorrow’s reports will contain some groundbreaking bombshells: that the Lakers may or may not trade for Kyrie, but it’s likely dependent on whether or not the Nets trade KD first.

Don't listen to the media reports! This is not about LAL's hesitancy to give up picks. It's about BKN backing off on their initial agreement, and then demanding 2 FRPs + young players from LAL + more FRPs from a 3rd team that will take on Westbrook. They are trying to do the same with Durant and nobody is biting!

BKN and Westbrook are very similar in one regard. They both believe their assets/talent are much more valuable than what the market would suggest!

Ignore the noise. I have faith LAL will find a way to make this offseason worthwhile!!!

Yeah other players tend to like championship team's style of play and the way the ball and their players move. I don't buy it one bit. He wanted an easy one or two and once he got 'em he bailed on them as soon as one of them pointed at him and said boo (actually it was b**ch but we'll use boo for sirronstuff and the other kids).

That's BS. He can win without Steph, the problem for him is if he is traded, the team he goes to won't have enough time to build a contender around him (since they will have to gut their team for him) while he is still in his prime. KD can win a title as the #1 option on a team, but his age makes it difficult since he would need to be traded to a ready made roster.

He has yet to prove this theory. Until he does, it remain just that.

Both Nunn and myself provided the same impact for the Lakers last season.

The difference is, I can actually get on the court today and throw up a 3. Nunn has a career ending bone bruise that no doctor in the world can cure.

I'd rather target JC than Hield. We need that bucket getter off the bench.

KD doesn't need Steph but he needs to join a team with an established winning culture.
He's a top 3 talent but he isn't the type of player that can rally the troops as a leader.
KD is closer to Kawhi/PG in that regard. It's much easier to build around alphas like Steph/Kobe/Lebron.

Wild story, time, situation. He nearly had his finger tips on his bag and most likely threw it all away. Don't feel bad for him at all. Don't respect a man who puts his hands on a woman ESPECIALLY when the kids are right there. There's also unspecified "child abuse" claims in the report. He's probably done in the NBA.

I know being rich, famous and successful doesn't fix you. There's all kinds of f*** ups. But I'll never understand guys like him or (in the NFL) Antonio Brown or Josh Gordon or Mike Vick. All pissing away at least $30m up to hundreds of millions.

Maybe Rob is trying to rope Indiana in as the third team in a Kyrie deal. Either one of these trades work from a salary matching perspective because Indiana is still under the cap:

    Lakers trade Westbrook, THT+2 firsts
    Lakers receive Kyrie, Hield

    Nets trade Kyrie
Nets receive THT+1 first round pick

    Indiana trades Hield
Indiana receives Westbrook+1 protected Laker FRP

Indiana gets off 3 years of the Hield contract and a pick for their cooperation because the Nets would end up saving a ton of money (they are in the luxury tax) by taking back only THT’s salary. They get a first round pick like they wanted as well.
