Nobody is trading anything of remotely like value for a 40 year old Lebron James. The man is going to retire in 2 seasons, that's some fantasy land stuff.

That new Haynes article pretty much has no actual information.

Lots of people on Reddit/Twitter overreacting and interpreting it as definitive news that we’re running it back. But that’s not what the article says.

Pretty much all it says is that the three guys had a call a few weeks ago to try to get on the same page since at least for now they’re all on the roster together.

Exactly. That's why Brick and James wanted nothing to do with one another .... plainly for the cameras and the beat writers ALL to see.

Keep reading whatever you want to into this Lakers click bait going around everyday. Westbrook might get traded for Kyrie. Other than that, he'll be in the starting lineup on opening night.

It would be wise to trade Lebron but we need to accept that Lebron chooses his destinations with his short term deals at this point of his Career. From his point of view, why would he allow his new team to trade assets for him when he can just sign there in the offseason and have those assets traded for more help? :LLLLLebronlaughing:

“While the uncertainty of Westbrook’s future with the Lakers remains, the conversation was organized to make sure all three were on the same page as long as they’re joined together in their pursuit of a championship, sources said.”

That’s a very carefully worded paragraph lol

Give it a rest with YOU don't believe what the rest of what anyone who gives a s*** sees with regard to Russ. You're the ONLY person who has it right? It was "click bait" that he fired his agent over irreconcilable differences, with the agent telling him he's better off not being traded again or trying to force his way out over the APPARENT to everyone chasm with James .... and rather should stay the season and do what's asked of him by Ham? That was click bait?

You can have all the conversations you want- and yes that means you too Mr. Ham- but you can't fit a square peg into a round hole...

With Westbrook on the team next season, we have ZERO chance of competing for the title....period.

Every media expert thought that roster was s***, even with a healthy Lebron, AD,Russ and Nunn too. You have no comments on that. YOU keep trying to make it all about that dude. I continue to call BS on that take. It seems that the team brass didn't think that it was all on Westbrook either.

You obsess over anything that looks like it could support your Westbrook take. He fired his agent! So what? That happens rather frequently in this league. He didn't sit with Lebron at a summer league game SEE!!! WHOOPEE DO. Has AD even been seen in public with Lebron this summer? What do you read into that?

Let's see. The owner said that she couldn't judge the team without first seeing the team envisioned play.

Lebron said that he didn't think that we needed to make any major moves. A few minor tweaks and some good health was what was needed in his opinion.

AD said the big three didn't play enough together to work anything out, but the media and fans unfairly blamed Russ for that.

We fired Vogel and made it known that his successor needed to elaborate on how he would incorporate Westbrook into his team plans.

The guy that most impressed us got hired, and immediately made it a point to talk about Russ and how he looked forward to working with him.

Yet YOU have determined that everybody is full of s*** and are just talking, because YOU have determined that it's all Westbrook's fault. I think YOU are the one that is claiming to know better than every one else..Not me.

Kyrie can be signed if bought out. He can be signed next summer if the Lakers only hold onto a few youngsters on payroll and LeBron and Kyrie will take around 40 each.

    2023 Cap projection 133 million
    AD 40.6 million
Various youngsters 7 million and Nunn or Walker 6 million
    Kyrie 40 Million or more
Lebron 40 or less depending on Kyrie's deal. Lebron should be willing to take a tiny discount at this point.

In other words, there is no reason for Rob to rush. Kyrie can cause a fuss (and we all know he is capable of that), get a buyout and come over on a min deal. Westbrook forced to come off the bench or keep it warm this season. Westbrook being traded now for another non-Kyrie package would put a hole in that plan to sign him outright. That's why I think the FO is resigned to either do a Kyrie deal (on our terms) or, if not able to, not get saddled with another package of less-than-desirable long-term contracts or just live with Westbrook this last season.

Make no mistake about it though. Kyrie Irving.
That's a big time talent, I'd move Russ in a heartbeat for HIM.
