The thing with jordan is he's just like howard

No post moves whatsoever, poor ft% he'll only score off put backs and alley oops and in a close game he becomes a liability because of his poor free throws and if youbtake him out you lose his defense

He IS a better fit with this team but NOT for the max. If it came down to deandre or love i'd deandre all the way but with his deficiencies on the offensive end he's not a max player

Agreed all the way GCC, that's why I think it was a pretty big risk to pass over Okafor.

How sweet would it be to see Jordan posterizing Biff and swating Paul's layups into the second row :)

True. And don't forget the vulnerability of the two teams you listed at the top, GS and Houston. GS still has the issue with Draymond, where he either walks for nothing or he eats at their cap flexibility, which has been one of the biggest factors in their success. And Houston showed many cracks in their playoff run, and were on the verge of a quick 2nd round exit were it not for a crazy 3 point barrage from Josh Smith.

Agreed. He's the epitome of a one way player. But he's going to get paid max money . . . either by us or someone else. Not a high b-ball IQ guy either.

He's not just like howard. He doesn't cry all the time. He doesn't need touched constantly. And he doesn't make Howard's money.

He's different from Howard in one HUGE way though: he knows he's not a post guy. I think he'd LIKE to be a post guy, but Jordan is hungry enough to go get rebounds and block shots even if he's not getting fed the ball down low. Howard REFUSED to do that for us and I think Jordan would be more receptive.

Is it a KNOWN fact that nash will still be around next season?

Last season i understand because he was still under contract it was the LEAST he could do but whats the incentive for him now?

If he did i would be happy because he could helpbour young players but if he doesnt i'll understand the reason

    I think he's a 2 way player... if there's 3 ways :D

He's a rebounder and a defender. We need that now pretty desperately. We've got now THREE scoring wings in Russell, Clarkson, and Kobe. Sure they CAN pass, but it's not their main instinct. Randle is more of a scorer too actually. Jordan would be the cleanup man who does all the dirty work out there. Also, his max starts I think somewhere under 19 million which MIGHT give us enough cash to also secure Davis behind him... Jordan/Davis gives us two guys who will clean-up loose balls, jam home rebounds, and fit into the new pick-and-roll based league we're all watching.

He won't cry when no one passes to him though. He won't be alergic to PNR. He won't try to become a face of the franchise and i don't think he'll get on Kobe's nerves from day one ;).

The things is, we're not really in a place to choose a perfect center, which doesn't even exist today not named Davis, Duncan, Marc.

Also consider, his max is not what most other max's are, and with the 2016 TV salary cap era coming up, it'll be a bargain.

    This i agree with.

If he signed for something less than the max to give us some cap space to get some addl players in fa to balance out our roster i'd be on the deandre train

If upshaw makes the team that would be the icing on the cake two defensive centers

I'd like to know what caused the rift between him and cp3. If the past is any indication id think cp3 started it he's known as a crybaby and a diva

Deandre Jordan wouldn't be my first choice for a FA big, but you have to consider him. He rebounds and blocks shots even when he's not scoring. And he can matchup with the other western conference bigs.

Sure, he's a horrible FT shooter, and at times he can make some boneheaded mistakes, but he'd be solid addition in the middle at the right price.

One more thing that can't be forgotten. He hasn't missed a game for the past 3 seasons. 82/82/82, that's VERY impressive for a big/athletic guy.
