I definitely wouldn't let LeBron extending or not impact my moves.

same, just since it sounds like “such a big deal” right now. I say play hardball with LeBron AND Westbrook. Either Westbrook gets traded for someone else and it pisses off LeBron that they didn’t get Kyrie OR they do little trades to get other people and just whoever wants to play whatever day till things get worked out, you go from there.

like if you could POSSIBLY get Hield in any way for like THT and Nunn or other pieces and part, do it….in case Westbrook sits out this season.

if all goes bad, Westbrook AND LeBron walk next summer, room to improve.

If LeBron resigns or extends, then great. Still get Westbrook off the book or work a deadline deal/December trade out for Kyrie and go from there.

just the Nets are being crazy right now. We need to move on. NOW is the time to move on and sign more simple bench people with our Minimums and stuff

Buy him out, after we trade Nunn, Conley can backup Kyrie for the nights he wants to take off to do flat earth speculation group meets.

PLEASE for the love of God, go to Miami and stay away from LA!

Barrett alone is too much to give up for Mitchell, let alone Quickley and Toppin too. I don't think Mitchell has massive value around the league.

bro, I’d be okay with Pat on this team. He’s the guy you want on your team so he doesn’t BOTHER your team during games.

so, I’m down to take him for cheap, if possible.

again, can we do these trades or signings or whatever and if we get Kyrie, great and if not, then sucks to suck for the Nets?

again, you have December and the Deadline to do stuff too, if you still want to.

One buffoon is enough for a lifetime. Another buffoon who acts, talks, and looks like he lives in a dumpster, no thank you.

We are going from Shaq, Kobe, Rick Fox, Horry, Fisher, Kareem, Magic and the Cooper's of the world representing the storied Lakers to gutter trash.

I'd take Beverly if he's bought out but not in a THT trade. The guy can be useful, but he gets hurt a lot (small guard over 30) and is constantly in foul trouble. He can't stay on the court even when he's physically able to.

I've definitely had enough of the waiting game and all these media reports. I get that's part of the game but its gotten annoying and I don't like feeling like we are being strung along.

well on the bright side, if this is true I won’t have to be concerned about staying up to watch games here on the east coast.

I do wonder what sort of long-term damage this will do to the Lakers. I watched them through thick and thin throughout the 90's and 2000's when we had objectively bad teams. This is different though. This roster is one of the most dislikable groups of players I've ever seen. Last season I watched less basketball than any year in my life going back to when I was like 8 or 9. I know there are a lot of fans who are like me. At some point, if you remove something from someone's life long enough, they will get used to it and find other things to fill that time and will never come back.

Definitely a valid point. I’d like to think that putting out a winning team solves all but I have to think at a certain point there’s too much damage to overcome.

I hung in there as long as i could last year. I won’t watch that bad of a product much if at all this season.

Agreed. I barely watched games last year. Not only have the teams been unlikeable, but they don't really seem to care they are "Lakers". They don't have the pride past players had. Maybe thats just the way the NBA is now. IDK. Or maybe since Kobe retired, I've lost some of my desire to watch the Lakers in some weird way.

this was the bane of my existence back in the CL days, but also it’s always so funny and comedic to me still because you know that it’s Off Season, when all the stories come out of EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHER coming to the Lakers, only for NONE of it to happen.

I think the Lakers need to start looking for an FO that is more quiet. Like, we need some news, BUT NOT ALL THIS ALL THE TIME. You got LeBron to come because you HAD to keep it secret, why can’t we do that every summer….for the start of it or something?

If we trade for Beverly…actually use assets on him rather than sign him via minimum off a buyout… oh man. And on top of that if we keep Russ.. yeah I won’t be here.

Yeah. It’s tough not to get sucked in even though we all know most of its BS. This year in particular if felt like we’ve been putting a lot of the rumors out ourselves. Definitely prefer the old days when moves came out of nowhere
