Yeah there’s no reason to get overly excited about Huff, BUT he deserves a camp invite to see what he’s got for sure. Personally I’d think he might warrant that 2-way contract over one of the guys we already gave it to.

he definitely deserves it over pippen. no question. i haven't at all been impressed with pippen and am concerned klutch has filtered all the way down to the udfa market.

Read a piece a long time ago that Klutch wanted their imprint on on every organization Bron has played on; wasn't going to happen with Gilbert or Riles.

    Then, they found the Lakers.

    Lol.

we were desperate, so here we are. bet the knicks wish klutch chose them, though. and we still have more rings than riles since he left, despite his superhuman powers. he should have come back.

oh yeah, we're in it all the way. FA this year drove that home pretty hard. again, though, who thought we'd have a ring and lebron and AD under contract right now?

gotta live and die with it, though. would like some sort of exit strategy as lebron ages out, though.

haven't seen the second game (forgot it was happening).

i thought pippen was just incredibly underwhelming in game 1 (saw most of it now), and in the film i saw from vandy. small, not a great athlete, and not a good shooter. just doom for an nba pg.

swider can most certainly shoot. i just haven't seen a second thing he can do yet. and he's not a "sprint off a pin-down" shooter, either.

i'll try to catch the second game and see if my opinion changes.

    Agree with Pippen.

His size is a problem. Gets wiped out on screens, lazy defensively, along with the other stuff you said.

Stats may look good, but I don't think he's going to translate very well.

Swider can just shoot. His defensive/mobility will be an issue, but that shot might get him a place in the roster.

Christie had a nice floor game. Was a +20. They're using him as a point of attack defender s couple of times. Also, took on Moody. He's starting to win me over...

Made strides as a point guard tonight. Pushed pace and found his man. As a scorer he sought out contact even from 3. Responded how i wanted him to between game one and two.

My expectations for this group remains low but they have been fun to watch. They play hard and it shows.

I am more impressed with Huff all the time. Hard to imagine he won't have a spot on the Lakers this season. Can space the floor enough and protect the rim for us. Be a nice pairing with AD. His interview after the game about telling guys to not foul if they got beat but to drop back and block out his guy was nice to hear. Seems simple but not many do it. Helps solidify one of our weakest areas.

I also like Swider. That shot is sweet and he is confident in himself. Needs some work in other areas but hard work and coaching can fix that. He seems like a hard worker and says the right things. I love our coaching staff.

Pippen is going to have to really be solid to overcome his size but he should be fun to watch. Always nice to win games but I mostly watch the summer play to see who might help the V squad. As usual we have some players with real possibilities.
