If he gets bought out we could sign him for the minimum.

No one is lining up to give up a first rounder for Wall? I'm shocked. Shocked I say.

Nobody is trading for that dude. As a buyout though, I'd take him and see what he has left on a minimum deal .

someone *might* trade for his contract, though, which is the point. the press allows for that possibility with wall, but not for russ, who has an identical contract.

The press doesn't like Russ, plus he plays for the Lakers and with Lebron. Triple dose of hating going on there. Case in point.. it's somehow "possible " that some team is going to give up a draft pick for Wall's contract, but the Lakers need to give up one in order to move Westbrook? That's crap is totally ridiculous.

It's fair to say that the Rockets are tanking, so they have some leverage as they are not pressured to trade.
Whereas we are the Lakers and are trying to compete for the title, plus have LeBron who's closing is chip window, so we don't have that leverage.

If there was a team out there, willing to give up a 1st round pick for a 47 million dollar expiring deal, I think we would have traded Russ by now.

Stein on Turner. While Indy has no plans of moving him now, that could potentially change at the deadline

prince definitely seems to fit the bill, imo. minny has young wings ahead of him, and he could use his exposure with us to get one more decent-sized deal.

bamba also, but as i detailed before, that seems unlikely.

i'd welcome kcp back, but that would be sort of painful after all this.

    no to holiday or harris.

i like lee, but only if we split the mini mle to maximize usage.

Pincus had a few rumors in his latest piece

I'll take Gallo for the min, that would help with spacing and shooting.

I fear we may end up with Bledsoe if he's bought out and we unload any of Russ, THT, or Nunn. Klutch move.

    Fewer options for Russ

Unfortunately he thinks he’s worth 15 to 20,000,000 per year these days

i didn't realize partial guarantees were only worth that in trade for the final year. that's a frequently-exploited loophole closed.
