Are you saying salary cap wise we can't have Young and Randle or just trade-wise we'll have to give them up?

Yep, This Cousins talk got me all discombobulated! This is the path I want them on...3 young promising players on rookie deals combined with Kobe...and dare I say it LMA! Still enough cap to fill in the gaps, and if they can unload Young even better.

Well both lol but salary wise. Cousins and Kobe are already over 40 million together.

I see. Giving up Randle, 2nd pick and Young definitely needs to happen then. Cousins/Kobe/LMA is going to be 60M then combined...we'll still have mini MLE to throw at one more player...and then the rest we just won't have room to sign...we'll probably have Clarkson, Brown, Black like you said....but yeah that would suck to have to give up Randle....We'll have no money for a wing until next summer when Kobe's contract comes off the books...then it's KD time hopefully. It's risky but could pay huge dividends if it means getting KD next summer or heck Westbrook the year after...

Or we could just keep all our guys, sign LMA this summer anyway, and then have all those kids AND room to sign KD AND room to sign another guy along with Aldridge AND all our kids :)

So the only way they can get him is if they lose two of their starters. And if they do get LMA, many and Duncan will split the rest. That team is another year older and not so good.

Kobe + LMA + Cousins = 58.6M. Add in Clarkson, Black, Brown, #27, 2.5M in cap holds & we're at 64.56M. 3M left to spend before we're at the cap & then our choice of the Room Exception or the BAE.

Hopefully we come away from the draft with Justin Anderson to throw in the fire at SF & Upshaw or another backup C. Throw the remaining 3M at Rondo on a 1+1, let him earn his big contract next year. Houston is already trying to dump salary, so there's no way they match any offer to K.J. McDaniels, 2M probably lands him & we have 2 young defensive specialists at SF. Fill out the roster with vets for the minimum.

    Clarkson/Rondo
    Kobe/Brown
    Anderson/McDaniels
    LMA/Black
    Cousins/Upshaw

    Not too shabby.

Can't rule out Love at Center. GSW are team to beat and they won it with Draymond at C.

Heck, don't rule out Millsap and other PFs either.

Love doesn't play defense like Green. I think things worked out perfectly for the Dubs. You still need a dominant big IMO. If Irving and/or Love had not been injured, Cleveland would have won it. Mozgov gave them a lot of trouble.

You're right, but at least I'd give it a shot, I think he can hold his own and contain his man if those teams are playing small.if not we can go randle at SF, love at power, black at center.

DeAndre seems perfect for this team now. I'd take him in a second.

If we got DeAndre, we should hire DAntoni. He'd have a great roster for his style.

Cmon. I'm not his biggest fan but DJ can run and gun, relentless on D and the boards, perfect C to have when you have multiple scorers in the line up.

    But yes on 1&2.

We will need a defensive monster to cover for Randle and Russell. And DeAndre is young.

Yeah he's a horse. Healthy, run him into the ground for 5 years lol. Plus it takes away from clipps. I think he stays with them at the end if his relationship with Blake is strong.
