    I am slowly migrating over to being excited if we take Russell. Still lean Okafor, but I am talking myself into Russell. I will say an Okafor/Randle pairing at c/pf worries me a lot on defense. A LOT. Aldridge/Randle...not so much. As for Durant, I think an Aldridge/Randle/Durant/Clarkson/Russell situation looks a lot more appealing than Okafor/Randle/Durant/Wade?/Clarkson.

    So much of this depends on what Randle is up to. It sounds like he's actively trying to become a sf. Dropped 20 pounds and developing an outside shot? Man, it seems like management told him that we're taking a big and going hard after Aldridge or Love. Be ready to play a Bully 3.

    Whether it's Russell or Okafor, I'm gonna be stoked, and won't ever look back. These are 2 guys we wouldn't have had a chance to snag had we not gotten super lucky in the Lottery.

    I don't think any of these "insiders" know who the Lakers are taking, not Ramona, not Ding, nobody from the Times. Why would the Lakers tell, why would they leak it, it's only smart and strategy to not tell until you tell the commissioner himself. All that said, I'm now officially nervous as hell. We take Okafor, I'm thrilled, but there's always a chance Russell is a star and Okafor doesn't improve much. Other hand we take Russell, he turns into every other middle of the pack guard out there, while Okafor dominates, we look stupid. Huge decision.

    Philly will dump that pick if we take Russell. Boston is willing to trade their whole team for Okafor. And Philly would be smart to take Smart and Boston's other pick. Smart/Noel/Embiid has the potential to be a defensive juggler knot

    Ding was on NBA TV with Rick Fox saying most of the guys upstairs for the Lakers want Russell. He's sticking with his story, that it looked like Okafor for the last few weeks, but now they are leaning towards Russell.
