Rondo is the player that benefited the most from the bubble IMO. He had 6 months off, that allowed him to go out and do his playoff Rondo thing. That run bought him two contracts, because he was very subpar during that season. The Lakers had the best record in the league before the pandemic hit. That's proof of Lebron and AD's potency as a duo. The interesting thing to me is that, James has missed more games as a Laker than he did in his entire career before coming here. He was known as an Ironman. AD has missed more time as a Laker than he did in New Orleans. It makes me wonder about the quality of our training staff some times.

yeah, iirc, there was an old literature in psychology about how people process shared benefits versus shared adversity (largely that the "shared" part is lost on the individual). it was different for everyone, like playing tennis on a clay court. the french open is still a major.

it's weird to me how unequal injuries are "part of the game" but a circumstance that happens to everyone is a biasing factor. last year's playoffs were far more asterisk-worthy if what asterisk means is that you doubt the team that won was actually the best team.

if all asterisk means was "this was weird", then the lakers 15-1 romp through the playoffs is the most asterisk-worthy title i've ever seen.

kawhi and pg were healthy then, too. why didn't they win? the clippers are supposed to be so much better. does...does the crowd...make them better? why only them?

I'd rather slam my nads in between a car door than have that slapnuts in a Lakers uniform.

He sits there talking about wanting to play with LeBron and be a Laker, and like 5 mins later he says our “bubble championship” doesn’t count. Which I’m sure would go over great with LeBron. He’s a jacka**.

Pat is still better than Avery right now. Probably more expensive tho.

This is one of my favorite non Laker related B-Ball pics of all time!!! I need to find a way to get this into the next NBA2K. Too bad my producer’s a huge Suns fan.

Doesn't he need the ball a lot to be effective? Don't see how that works.

I actually think we’re a good option - IF - he wants out. They’d get immediate cap relief from Russ’ expiring and we could offer a first (maybe two?) and THT & Reaves. They could do worse.

But Lillard seems to want to go down with the ship and loyalty is important to him.

They have the pick and Bledoe's expiring 19 million dollar contract to dangle. They could probably snag a guy like Grant from Detroit, and make a play for Ayton in free agency. That would put them back into playoff contention. Kyrie and Dame would be fun to watch too.

I'm not touching any PG over the age of 30.

    He could stay in Portland.

I have a weird feeling he's a 50 game a year guy from here on out. Although I like his game, I don't see that being a good idea.

Cuffs said we should go after Bamba since Orlando is likely taking a center with the number 1 pick

    Shrugs.
