That's kind of been the reporting from all the media since Frank was given his walking papers. Very on brand with how this front office thinks...that it would be someone with NBA coaching experience, they're getting that info from someone. That combined with Rob saying they wanted someone with gravitas and was a leader of men, assistants aren't proven in those areas.

I would take everything with a grain of salt.

I'm sure you already do, but I'm preparing for everything.

I thought Williams was the guy we should have went after last time.

I'm warming up to Ham. I think they want to see what happens with Snyder, though; he's probably their first choice.

By the way, I believe Ham played for Stotts. I could be talked into a pairing of those two...

i wanted williams, too. pretty sure the receipts will bear that out.

stotts as an assistant would be good. great, even. he's an underrated coach, i think.

i could get behind a ham/cassell/dudley/rondo type with stotts as lead assistant.

Same. I'm with trying a whole new route.

I do like Quinn, but if the FO went the way of a brand new coach with proven assistants, I am more than okay with that.

i'm a broken record on this, but i just don't see a lebron team being able to bring in a coach who wants to control the offense in any way. need one of these "it's a collaborative effort" guys, which is coachspeak for "i'm not going to cross my star when it comes to playcalling".

    Yeah, we shall see.

LBJ wants Mark Jackson? Probably the worst candidate mentioned out there.

Glad he's a "long shot". Don't need that drama.

I just ask they don't botch the hire. Pleaseeeeee. Lol.

Negotiations between Darvin Ham and the Los Angeles Lakers broke down yesterday, with sources close to the discussions indicating that the requirements of Kurt Rambis as associate head coach and a salary of negative eleventy dollars were introduced at the last minute. By Kurt Rambis.

Maybe I'm just negative, but I'm fully expecting to hate the hire.

The Kings owner liking Jackson most says all you need to know about that franchise. To go from Luke, to Mark Jackson… In other news, our competition.

Oh and we aren’t getting Nurse

i think i said a few pages back that a) i didn't think nurse was possible and b) toronto was going to come out hard against the idea publicly.

anyway, enjoy building a first-class organization but topping out as an also-ran. unless maybe YOU would like a new job in a bigger market that would allow you to actually build a dynasty?

Nurse is a Klutch client too, sounds like he's about to get a raise or another year garunteed. Paul is working all the angles LOL.

    So is Mark Jackson btw.

Long live the TRIANGLE. LeBron can be the initiator, just has to tone down the pounding the ball part for first 20 seconds thing.
