It's because Rambis can't keep more than 2-3 names in his head at a time.

Per Cranjis on his pod, he made a few calls to people he knows with the Bucks to see what Darvin is responsible for: I won't call him the "defensive coordinator", but he is responsible for that end with Milwaukee.

Additionally, he has helped with the player development with respect to wing players, too

He has some experience with offense. He assisted seeing jona scheme gap system (good spacing principles), which was very basic, bit it was also very smart.

With the right assistants, it could be a good hire.

    Paraphrasing Cranjis.

I’d be fine with Darvin Ham. Also with Snyder although I’m doubtful he leaves Utah yet. I think he probably gives it one more year then leaves in his option year. I’m betting Pop goes another season as the Spurs really turned it on at the end this year. Snyder might try and coordinate so he aligns with Pop stepping down. I could see him fitting better there with a young core he can help mold. He did a great job of it in Utah but they seemed to have run their course with the bad chemistry between the two stars and diminished returns with a first round loss.

I don’t think he would get the autonomy he is used to here in LA and he also has to deal with Superstar egos. And he didn’t like how we did Vogel dirty. I’m not sure I see him coming here.

That's not promising. Coach Bud is a defensive coach. If you're a coordinator who has the same specialty as the head coach, I question your contributions. And we have the best development coach in the game with Handy.

Bud opened up Milwaukee's offense when he took over for Kidd, correct?

He implemented a lot of the spacing principles they had in San Antonio and they instantly transformed into a top tier offense in his first couple of years.

Idk if defense was ever his speciality; but whatever, Ham is a good start, IMO.

And I value what Cranjis says more than anybody here; I'm just passing along the info.

Think of it as promising or go find me another assistant you like and bring his pedigree to the table.

FYI: I doubt anybody watches Bucks games. However, if they do, and he's responsible for the defense, did they change up pick in roll coverages on DeRozan or not?

    :).

I would be down for Darvin Ham or Quin Snyder...heck I'd love to have them BOTH...

I'm glad I haven't heard any other retreads yet...not down for Mike Brown, or Mark Jackson, or any of those types of guys.
