Mitchell is a train wreck on defense.

f*** Lakers ties!!! Bring a coach who knows what he is doing and already had a professional system that let his players think on their own instead of the rigid, boring flex type offense like every other team in college basketball.

Well we have recruited from there, Ronny Turiaf, Adam Morrison. Both were med cases.

    Via The Athletic:

“Doc Rivers, Quin Snyder, and Mike Brown are all realistic coaching candidates, in my view, depending on how Rivers’ and Snyder’s respective seasons end. I’d rank them Snyder, Brown, and Rivers from the Lakers’ perspective.”

    Mike Brown, huh?

Snyder over everybody on that list; but again, let's interview everybody.

Brown and Vogel have similar qualities.

I think he's going to get serious consideration for some strange reason.

    Shrugs.

    lol mike brown. wow.

seriously, though--they fired vogel. so the next coach has to bring something vogel didn't, right? step 1 is identifying why vogel wasn't the "right fit" or whatever. step 2 would be identifying someone who has the missing parts. i'm not even sure we have made the first step, tbh. which is why the second one is looking so incredibly ridiculous early on.

If either Brown or Rivers become coach, they'll probably be fired in 2 years and then we will rehire Vogel.

rambis is going to hire brown, then fire him 6 games into the season again so he can take the reins in fulfillment of the prophecy.

Wow that list is horrible. I’m not joking when I say this, if Mike Brown, Doc Rivers, or Mark Jackson are our coach next season, I will not be watching.

I will, but definitely not sober and that's going to get expensive for 82 games. My liver and wallet would prefer they make a half decent decision here.

Might as well add Isiah Thomas to the list of candidates at that point.

Come on Mike! Help us out. Hopefully you and Sacramento take at least two of the bad choices off the table. Hopefully more...a Mike Brown/MDA (as someone suggested earlier) gruesome twosome in Sacramento might be my favorite train wreck duo imaginable.

Online discourse has suggested to me that Mike Brown’s stock has gone up and he is very well regarded as a top assistant due to his current stint on Kerr’s staff.

But I don’t buy it. When he was with us, I always thought he sounded like a moron. Couldn’t respect or have confidence in him. And I think Bynum emerging as a dominant force that year was a bandage that hid how uncreative Mike Brown was offensively.

We also already have recent experience in signing a well regarded GSW assistant… didn’t exactly pan out. Pretty easy to get accolades and praise when you’re on the bench of a team with Curry, Klay, etc.

At this point, I’m praying we go for an unknown assistant.
