Stephen A is desperately looking for someone to save his boy KD. Now it's all on a guy that hasn't played all season? 25 is 25 and he'd be motivated to play at his best in LA. Send Russ to Charlotte, send Rozier and Hayward to Brooklyn, Simmons lands in LA. Everyone wins. Lebron gets a pupil that needs his tutoring, AD gets a dynamic defensive perimeter player to play with.

red flags all around Ben Simmons.

    1. Mentally weak (Doesn't bode well for LA and the bright lights)
    2. Herniated disks aka back problems
    3. Can't shoot
    4. Redundant with Lebron around handling the ball
    5. Small balls - afraid of the big moments
    Have to pass

Maybe..but even with all that, Lebron is going to be 38 years old next season. This guy was all NBA two years ago, he's still elite on Defense, and he would be the third guy on this team. He's a way better now, than we ever hoped Kuz would become as a third option. I'd roll those dice on it, I'm not expecting him to be a first or second option type of player in his first season. This kid has been All NBA once, and ALL NBA Defense 1st Team twice, in 4 years in the NBA. That's something to work with.

Claiming mental health issues because you don't want to play for your coach or with Embiid just seems like a big no go for me.

But there is no denying the talent.

I think Simmons is a bit of a joke in how sensitive he was to a few comments in Philly, and the way he took this year off is terrible in so many ways, from the mental health to the quitting on your team to the not staying in shape so you’re back gives out.

But, he is an incredible talent. He is a yearly DPOY quality defender, who can run your team from point, he is a terror in transition and rebounds super well. As a guard he is a cheat code because he can guard the smallest of guards while they can’t guard him, so you can overwhelm a team by going “small” with him. Imagine:

    Simmons
    Reaves
    TJ Warren
    Lebron
    AD

Thats the biggest small ball lineup I’ve seen and everyone can switch, but you don’t give up rim defence. In fact it reminds me a lot of the way C Bags have been able to roll out a really big and defensive unit.

Absolutely no way we get him.

Yeah, I can't see that happening. I mean, this is an all-D talent who can literally guard five positions while being at least as tall as AD. Having the two of them on the floor at the same time would make it very difficult for the opposing team to score. For this, I'd be willing to ignore everything else but... it's just not happening.

I don't think Rozier and Hayward is enough, but a future 1st rd pick might make it enticing. I have to think that Brooklyn wouldn't mind Rozier as a fallback, in event of the coming Kyrie sabbatical for one reason or another next season. Hayward would be more attractive if he was on an expiring deal. Hence the pick, maybe Jordan might throw in a 2nd rounder. Gordon and Terry make more than Russ next season .

Big baller brand shoes can withstand more pressure then Simmons can before they break.

throw in THT as a cost-controlled flier for them; they give us a lotto-protected 1st that turns into two 2nds if it doesn't convey. who says no?

Did I miss it or has he not even played yet for Brooklyn in the months he’s been there? What a freaking head case. It seems.

had to continue the "mental health" angle, and then supposedly he had a herniated disk that kept him off the floor. Not a great start in a new place for sure.

Come on, there are a bunch of guys from Oklahoma errr I mean Houston, nope I meant Brooklyn. Oh wait, there are three guys in Philly but they got their arses whooped by a tribe of locals. My guess is his high salary buys all the merchandise and then he hands it all out to the homeless.

Incredible talent that doesn't play is as good as us not playing. One of the good things about the Lakers and Nets flailing like an advertising tube man is it shows that when you let players take too much of the reigns on a franchise, you risk sucking like they have. Durant, Kyrie, Lebron are stars whom think they are something they aren't. Lebron is the worst of the 3 but they all have been given the entitlement to act the way they have. Simmons is worse than all 3 put together. He is a bigger coward who stands behind a mental health excuse and waters down those who actually suffer from mental illness. He uses it as an excuse to be a b****. And we ALL allow it to happen. We as in owners, management, coaches and fans. All for what? So he can MAYBE help the team win?

This dumb f*** sat down a year because he passed the ball 4 inches from a dunk. All this because he has the constitution of a 10 day old banana.
