Missing Kobe, right there in the middle… Stuff like this, and seeing all the legends of the game hanging out makes me miss Kobe so much more… dude should be there shooting the s*** with Jordan, s*** talking with Shaq, embracing Jerry…
It's so tragic that we all have the same reaction looking at that photo. You want it to be purely celebratory, but you can't help but focus on who's missing. Unfortunately, that's life though, and it's the same way when you lose a loved one. Birthdays, weddings, graduations. When you stop for a moment you can't help feeling sad about who's not there. We do our best to enjoy life for everything it's worth, but as you get older, loss becomes a bigger part of your human experience. I shouldn't have time for this. I'm 40-years old, I have a demanding job and two small girls who never got to meet my mother. But I still miss Kobe so much.
That would've been great. Seeing he and Shaq argue hoops every week. Ultimately I think they could've figured something out about how much press Kobe would have to do. Promoting it on his social would have done more than going on Dan Patrick, Fallon, or The Today Show.
Kobe on TNT? Really? As good as that show is, that show is for clowns to do like Shaq and Barkley not Kobe. Kobe was about to change women's sports with Gianna. No one suffered more losing Kobe, besides family, friends and his fans, more than the WNBA and likely the other women's sports. The loss is beyond what we could comprehend because we will never really know what else he would have done.
I remember like it was today, 3 or 4 months before he died, my buddy and I were talking about how we were going to watch the WNBA draft and how we were going to following whatever team Gianna was on. We were ready! He wore that orange WNBA sweater at the Atlanta home game I believe and they sold out of the sweater in 13 minutes. So much tragedy in so many ways.
