highly unlikely that the #12 pick is a star, much less the kind of player you kick yourself about, particularly if it was the cost of renting AD for 4 years. or even 1, tbh.

LeBron would be proud of this level of passive aggressive. We get it, anyone who doesn’t agree with you is stoopid.

not stupid. overly emotional and not engaging in rational consideration of the circumstance. as i said in the AD witch hunt thread: what's the move? since he's broken and will never be healthy, what's the thing we do that makes our short and long term future better other than hope he recovers? i consistently hear nothing.

do we break his contract in smaller parts like the mavs did with porzingis (btw, that's what broken and will never be healthy looks like)? trade him for a cj mccollum type? i'm genuinely curious in the greener pastures that await us.

if AD is so prized as youre indicating it wouldn't/shouldn't be difficult to recoup what was given up for him to begin with, ad w/o Bron lvl star is just lile AD Pelican era, treadmilling, bad to be contenders but not bad enough to get a high pick

“New York power forward Charles Oakley, when ask by a reporter to comment on Karl Malone calling him a “stoopid rebounder” was clearly incensed but a teammate across the locker room told him that Malone was not calling him stupid but complimenting him as a stupendous or great rebounder.” A little blurb I remember reading in an NBA magazine more than 30 years ago:giggle:

sure perenial treadmill...jrue holiday was an all-star with phi, so was rondo with bos, that yr he finally got out of 1st rd since yr preference is to keep AD. why dont you tell us which star we're signing or trading for for when Bron is gone?

I had the perfect trade scenario for getting great compensation now as well as potentially valuable future picks, but then I ran it by Lebron and he said no.

    Yo,

    You a cap guy?

What are the options for amnesty for WB or buyout? Do you know?

i'm not a cap guy, but there's no amnesty stuff in place now, so we're screwed there (as we were in the mozdeng bonanza, thanks nba).

buyouts are what they are. whatever's left counts on the cap. so russ would have to have something lined up to cover the difference for him, a la kemba last year. i just don't see it as a likely angle for us.

and tbh: as much as i've roasted russ for good reasons, he's not TOTALLY useless. he's just VASTLY overpaid.

i'm sure okc will eat some of his salary if we pay (through the nose), but all that really does is save jeanie money (so, possible!).

much like my stance with the deng stretch/waive: i'd rather just eat the salary and reserve the trade possibilities. the dead cash is just a killer. again, if you do the math, deng's buyout cost us caruso.

No to trading Lebron or AD. Just move Westbrook this summer if we can without giving up the farm. Move THT too if there is a good trade to be made. Keep Reaves, Stan and Monk if possible.

Kinda depends on James’s pissy attitude rest of the season I would think, if it gets an adjustment or if he and Klutch (at his obvious behest) keep up with the leaks and passive aggressive whining that we didn’t fix what he broke.

    Bron recruiting Draymond?

They're together watching DeRozan. Bron crying over the one who got away, while he's stuck with Russ.
