found this odd, too. and doesn't chicago have to cut a guy do make this happen? so somebody on chicago found out they're cut because carlisle couldn't wait to talk about thompson's plans?

It’s very weird. If that was the Lakers signing him, there would be yelling and crying about tampering.

let’s see what Stern’s protege does

Stein in his green room chat said Dragic isn't going to Dallas. Bucks, Lakers, Clipps, GS are all interested. Nets would be an option if they are interested because of the Nash ties. Hasn't heard whether location or playing time is his priority.

we're (sadly) the only team that can just cut folks (dj, baze) and not be hurt by it at all.

Looking at the potential buyout names being thrown around, if Tristan Thompson is going to the Bulls and doesn't back out of that, then it's either RoLo or maybe Millsap.

I'll gladly take Robin Lopez. He got to spend the first half of the year at Disney World and now he can finish it up at Disney Land. We're going to have to have another big. Dwight's back isn't OK, it was noticeable last night and he was only good 1x a week before that.

millsap looks cooked to me. and he was never a great defender, even in his prime.

rolo would be good, assuming we are still trying to win. anyway, i'd cut dj for him.

i might cut dj just out of spite, though.

and i wasn't kidding about moses brown as a dj replacement, either. he has mobility issues but at least he's big and tries.

We can do a series of 10 day contracts if we cut someone, can’t we? I would cut DJ and just start auditioning any G leaguers we might be interested in for next year.

I'm curious as to what the plan is. We'll be able to tell within the first game or two after the break based on how hard Bron is playing. If he's pushing it to the limits, they're serious about this season. Anything less, we're packing it in.

DJ's only current value is carrying players off the court.

There is ZERO CHANCE IN HELL that this roster is the same next season.

I doubt any big move will get done. We will probably replace Dwight, DJ, Baze, Duke and Avery. Melo might retire...

    Exactly.

See my previous about being weary of Ramona's reporting and her sourcing.

Haynes is way more plugged in.

    TY for this.

If they were to stay put with this exact squad next season it will be Rob’s head on a stick.

    we're stuck with russ

best case scenario is they dump the dead weight like DAJ, bazemore, bradley, ariza, and ellington and bring in solid wing defenders, a couple 3 pt shooters, and another big. AD, lebron, monk, reaves, dwight, and THT are the only guys i would like to see return from this roster

I think Dwight still has back issues but is cleared to play.
