This is a fair point. I gotta think even she wants to try and stop the bleeding and avoid the additional embarrassment of missing the playoffs / play in game.

I don't see how Dragic helps us really.

These are the kind of things we should be trying out at this point in the season. We might as well see if we can find some talented rookies because it’s not like we will have a lot of money to spend next year. We are going to have to find some hidden gems instead of over the hill vets.

agree. don't bother with buyouts, use baze and dj's spots as tryouts.

jones has interested me since he came out. not super athletic, but good size and skills. if he can get himself to the right spots on defense, he'll have a job in the league.

nothing will help the lakers at this point aside from AD returning to his 19-20 form, westbrook not sucking, and the defense becoming a top 5 defense in the entire league

less minutes for Russ, I'm all for that.

but yeah if Nunn comes back healthy, he can play the same role.

plus they both shoot a lot better than Russ.

for real, the media obviously has focused on Russ all year, but he's just part of the problem.

the roster just sucks and is a bad fit unfortunately.

    The fact remains:
They didn’t re sign Caruso because they didn’t want to pay him his market value in addition to the tax hit. That’s not a narrative, that’s what happened.

That would go against the narrative that this season is salvageable.

Pretty obvious we can’t sell what teams like the Bucks are selling. Reigning champs vs plummeting 9th seed.

yeah, i'm really not mad about it. the only thing i'll say is that a guy like bembry is good because you could, in theory, lock him up for next year at the min, too.

i'm really looking to find ways to build for next year. if we're stuck with vet mins, let's try to get a jump on some young bloods.

wouldn't a moses brown audition be worth cutting dj for?

So what? Not signing Caruso for a 35 million dollar cap hit isn't being cheap. Everyone doesn't think that Alex Caruso, is worth 35 million dollars , including the Lakers FO.

Better than THT for similar money.

Tucker is 21 years old. Caruso is 28 and he's injured right now. There is absolutely nothing concrete , saying that our record would be any better with Caruso, instead of Tucker today.

That is the argument..Caruso wasn't worth 35 million dollars period. And there isn't a team in the NBA that would have invested 35 million dollars, in a player that plays 20 min a game. Except the Lakers in your opinion.

If you mean concrete being 100% certainty, then I guess not. But anyone who has watched Caruso the last few years and sees what's wrong with this team would know Caruso for THT makes us a much better basketball team.
