I'm not sure if this has been mentioned (anywhere), but there are limitations to trading players that were traded within 2 months ago. This limitation applies to Reddish. The rule is that such a player can not be combined with other players in any trade. So, the mentioned Lakers/Knicks trade would have to technically go down as "two separate trades". For example:

    1. THT and two second round picks for Burks- This works under the cap, since their 2021-2022 salaries are essentially the same (in the 9 million dollar range).

    2. Nunn for Reddish- This works under the cap, since their 2021-2022 salaries are very similar (in the 5-6 million dollar range).

    I suppose, some combination of DJ/Bazemore, DJ/Ellington, etc.would also work (5.2 million).

Westbrook isn't the main issue here period. He is a convenient excuse to use though. We didn't win anything last season either. Last season Lebron and AD missed a lot of games. That was the problem. This season Lebron and AD have missed a lot of games, it's also the problem, coupled with the fact that this year, they have tuned Vogel out. He's earned it too, and then we can talk about Westbrook, the roster etc. If the main two guys aren't here, or aren't totally committed when they are, it's a lost cause . Westbrook just provides cover for everyone to vent their frustrations. Sooo...get rid of Vogel and play what you have and let the chips fall where they may. At least Lebron and AD don't have the excuse of playing for a coach they don't want around anymore. Those two most definitely wont be going anywhere this summer. What happens with every one else on the roster is TBD.

    That three-way deal isn't a bad one.

Gives us more size and shooting.

I have to see what draft picks are involved.

Cam's corner 3 stats are good.

    Burks can shoot a bit.

Burks also as a TO next year.

    Not sure about Reddish.

It won't save the season, but it will improve us on the margins and could be guys we being back next year.

Reddish and Burk aren't going to help at all.

Anything the Lakers can do at the trade deadline would be marginal, but I do like Reddish since he gives us what we need (a young wing player) moving forward and going into next season.

I guess but I'm not giving up Tucker or a draft pick for him. 2nd round picks, maybe Nunn...maybe.

Seems we really like Cam. We were linked to him with the Hawks. This Knicks writer classifies us as "aggressive" in pursuing him.

Rather Rob have a thing for him than Hield.

Cool. Again, won't save the season, but he's a decent prospect.

I don't think anything saves the season, FWIW.

I like THT too, in fact, I expect him to drastically improve if/once he leaves the Lakers, but we have a logjam of small guards on our team and the Raptors are mainly interested in THT, not Nunn. That being said, this three way deal hinges on if we have to give up the 2027th 1st round pick. If we do, then yea I would nix the trade.

    Yeah the season is shot.

I’m high on Cam though. I think Handy can help him get to the next level.
