    Yep.

So... Reaves and Monk can stay. All the rest can go screw themselves.

Really not interested in small trades to improve THIS team. THIS team sucks. Trade WEstbrook. If it doesn’t work (likely), see what total rebuild options there are.

Rockets Knicks probably the Thunder are the only teams that may accept this version of Westbrook

keep nunn, don't trade a 1st, and this is a good deal for us. two wings with reasonable size, one of whom has been a solid defender and the other has the potential to be one. both can hit the three.

btw, take out the raptors and it's basically a watered down version of the westbrook trade i posted yesterday.

would still want to sell them on russ/THT for julius/kemba/burks/reddish

Yeah, I'm in on this one. I like Cam and think he's a much better fit than THT. This isn't at the top of my list because conceptually trading one young prospect for another doesn't make sense. I'd be curious to see what else is involved. Either we're including 2 more players (one could be the mentioned Nunn), have another small deal lined up, or will just flat out cut Baze and DJ. Because our roster is full and we can't give one and take two plus we're wanting to be buyout market players.

has to be teams that can absorb those guys for 2nd rounders. they're vet mins. the cost shouldn't be too high.

again, i don't like giving up nunn at this point unless you're getting a difference maker (these don't qualify). i don't think his career is over, and in theory he should be a bargain if he opts in.

i don't understand the three-team deal for the knicks. they want another small old pg on an expiring to get off of two smaller salaries and noel, who's earning his paycheck as a backup c?

    doesn't add up.

cut toronto out and make it the big deal for westbrook. knicks get out from under their contract mistakes a bit earlier, we take on longer-term risk for shorter term benefits without throwing too much good money after bad.

Just send out the 2027 pick please ... I cannot take 1 day more of russ. Do the Knicks/Raps deal as well and we will have at least some sort of new energy in our team. it's time to shake this up.

Woj's sources seem to be catching up with the rest of the media on the Harden rumors. If I had to guess, I think Stein has Philly sources and Woj has Nets sources just based on the info and framing of their reporting on the rumors so far.

damn, that was really my only realistic hope.

irony is that the knicks are going to end up selling randle for nothing as early as next year, imo. they'll end up getting even less or paying to offload randle and fournier.

Westbrook was never getting traded. The guy has an opt out next season, it's borderline ridiculous, to think that any team would give up tangible assets and trade for a guy, that has the ability to simply opt out and walk for nothing over the summer.

Unless they were were just looking to dump some bad contracts . Why should we want another team's bad contracts? The only way he was ever getting moved was if HE asked out. After coming out and basically calling Vogel an idiot, it shouldn't be a surprise, that he has all of a sudden developed "back tightness", that will probably persist until Vogel is fired too.

You can't pin everything on Westbrook, if we can't figure out how to beat Portland with a healthy Lebron and AD. Might as well fire Vogel, keep Tucker, Nunn and the draft pick, scrounge the buyout market for anyone useful. And play Lebron, AD, Russ, Tucker and Monk max minutes from here on out, and let the chips fall where they may.

you keep acting like him leaving would be a bad thing. there's not a single team that wants him--how does this not compute?

because they might be for better-fitting players AND the salary wouldn't be concentrated in one huge chunk.

and this is a guy you want to keep around?

i don't get it. are you saying we need to trade lebron?

we can agree that not being able to beat whatever team that was last night is sort of the ultimate condemnation of everyone, but letting russ off the hook for terrible play and a worse attitude isn't the path to glory.
