50 mil for a guy who doesn't work out in the offseason?

    Seems risky.

I’m surprised Washington and Philly aren’t more engaged in a Simmons for Beal trade.

To me, that trade makes more sense for both sides than Harden for Simmons.

Beal is the legit all star level player Philly is looking for, and he’s younger than Harden.

Simmons is a pretty nice piece for Washington to build around moving forward.

i think washington is (wisely, imo) waiting for beal to ask out before doing anything. beal is obviously the better trade target for philly, though, yes.

According to the latest reporting, Wiz focusing on trying to get better so he'll want to stay by pushing for Sabonis, Grant, or someone on that level. They're not entertaining moving on from Beal unless he asks out.

I also think that's a loss for the Wiz because Beal is more marketable and I don't think Simmons can headline a team.

I still think the best deal for both teams is moving Ben to Portland for CJ. I think now that Portland is officially tanking this year and prioritizing Anfernee, I think CJ is on the move. Morey is just too stupid and stubborn.

Things are looking pretty bleak; please provide us with some positive news mr rambis. Are we getting rid of Westbrook?!

Hell I can answer that, no. Nobody wants Westbrook, his game has fallen off and he makes an absurd amount of money.

I’m not as down on Russ as Weezy is but no we aren’t moving him. That isn’t happening and all of what Weezy said is true. And I like Russ somewhat.

they've already lost with both guys healthy, and they were younger then. but yes, i'm envious that we let caruso walk while they just keep stacking contracts over there.

I made a comment after the bubble title how the warriors and clippers were going to outspend us in a real way and it would give them a competitive advantage. At the time I got a lot of push back on the fact we are the “premier nba franchise” and it wouldn’t happen.

This is the reality of having poor owners. The bigger issue is we don’t have savvy, intelligent people making decisions, but the Rambii.

yeah, we can't capitalize fully on our brand/market because we have neither deep pockets nor shrewd management.

to me, it doesn't matter. they can't play them all at once, so this just raises the floor. they've shown their ceiling isn't good enough, imo. maybe if everyone gets hurt again and they don't, but i don't pick them over other teams if everyone's at full strength.

never would have guessed that paul george's friendship with reggie jackson would be so important, btw. just as a weird side note to all this.

They would still get stomped by a healthy Warriors team and lose to a healthy Suns in a playoff series.
