Very surprised Harden is not happy. This is as good as a title contender there is even if they have their imperfections. They have arguably the best player in the game in KD

Harden and Durant overlap in their roles. Both need the ball a lot and to shoot a lot. Simmons is a much better fit for Brooklyn, IMO. As for the 76ers, they're basically adding Harden to the team they currently have not giving up anything.

I get the trade for both teams.

Harden played his a** off for Houston for all those years then said "f**k it, I'm gonna dictate everything going forward, whether by not playing or deliberately playing like s***".

I doubt it will be an upgrade in Philly.

WOW, Philly could end up with the best guard/center combination since Kobe/Shaq!

Let's be real. Pau was our center in crunch time. Kobe/Pau > Embiid/Harden.

Heck Kobe + Fill in the blank (Chris Mihm, Kawameeeee Brown, Andrew Bynum, Dwight Howard) is better than Embiid + Harden.

houston should have traded harden for simmons, imo, so this also makes sense. bkn doesn't need harden's skill set and philly probably does.

also, harden and embiid are a match made in heaven for people like me who can't stand either for similar reasons.

they better win before they'll (inevitably) be at each other's throats.

Sometimes I think other teams are willing to throw a good trade the Clippers way because they simply like to hurt the Lakers.

I kid you not, I have thought that on more than one occasion. Back with the Chris Paul debacle, the owners were pissed the Lakers were going to get him, so not only did they nix it, they also sent him to the Clippers for good measure.

These owners have no idea how good they have it over here with a salary cap and all the things in place to keep one team from dominating. In European Football (or soccer to all the plebs) there is essentially nothing stopping the rich clubs from buying whoever they want. If you are a small club and raise a prospect through your youth program (which lasts for years as children) a big club will no doubt swoop in and buy them or take them at their contract's end.

    True. Even Kobe/Bynum > Harden/Embiid.

harden's on the downward spiral and regressing quickly, not to mention he's going to be 33 this year

whichever team overpays for him will regret it
