Doesn't matter. We're probably bringing in another backup C anyway. So this 'Okafor vs Black starting argument' would be mute in the season opener.

    Good. Bring in Koufos. Koufos/Okafor/Black.

lol, that infographic is pretty lame. they poo poo points and rebounds (ok fine), hype PER (lol), then use points, rebounds, and fg% to compare harris to some third-tier players. YAY!

most of it is complete drivel. not that I'm saying I don't like harris, but if I didn't, I can say that this graphic would have done nothing to dissuade me of that opinion.

maybe I just find most infographics fairly silly. I mean, it doesn't take long to read an article, people.

Source: Monta Ellis has decided to opt out of the final year of his contract. The Mavs do not plan to try to re-sign him.

I hear Pacers and Miami very interested in him which re-opens Wade to LA talk...

Interesting stuff... This off-season is shaping up to be epic.

I'm glad someone else sees the value in Koufos, or as I call him goofus...He'd be great as Okafur's BU, brings good solid D, sets great picks, high energy guy.

i question the veracity of the latter claim. and i'm certain they'd consider s&t possibilities.

Awesome. That'd make them fun to watch at least. Not really competitive remotely, but fun to watch.

Monta is going to where he could get paid. Dallas wants to pursue Aldridge and Green.

Kevin Love just opted out as well. I wouldn't consider Wade unless it's a 1+1 deal.

Good stuff. The advantage Boston has is a potential S&T for Love. They have the draft picks and prospects that could probably make it happen.

love's opt-out was academic, right? even if he wanted to sign a 1+1 to try to maximize his earning potential in the new cap era, he stands to get some raise by opting out, i think.

Last year he made 15.7 million dollars. If he signs a max deal it'll start at roughly 20 million, so yeah even a 1+1 gives him a 5 million dollar bonus.

Worst case scenario, not many teams offer him a max. I still think he's worth a deal starting at more than 15.7 million dollars.

If I were him, I'd sign a long-term deal this summer. If someone offered him a 4/70 million dollar deal with a player option on the 3rd year, he'd be crazy not to take it with his injury history.

Just thinking about Love staying in CLE today and what he is up against.....

1.) Coach Blatt - Benched multiple times in the 4th quarter for not playing defense. Never really found a role for him on offense. Does he trust that next year will be better?

2.) Varejao, TT, Mozgov - Are they better overall players than Love? Absolutely not. Do they fit in better with the style CLE is going to be running? Absolutely. Love isn't going to be getting run at the 5 d/t his poor rim protection, the best he can hope for is a 60/40 split with TT at the PF position. That is if Lebron doesn't bump down for smaller lineups. I think he is going to be in a dog fight for minutes come playoff time. Does Love want to be the man or does he want to run with a group of talented bigs?

3.) Kyrie and Lebron - He's again going to be fighting for scraps from these and trashed by the media and fans when he's not producing his superstar numbers. Prime of his career and he's going to be a 3rd option for multiple years going forward? That's got to be hard to swallow.

4.) Comic Sans - Does Comic Sans view Love as a max player when taking into account the above 3 points and what he has to pay just to keep other guys around? Easily over 100 million, close to 110 million in contracts next season, does Comic Sans want to pony up for a guy that the team got to within 2 games of the winning it all?

I think Love is in for some frustration if he goes back to CLE.
