Yeah, an incoming sign and trade would hard cap us, and that would mean we’d essentially have to fill out the rest of the roster with minimum contracts and it would have severely limited our ability to do things like … re-signing Alex Caruso.

    Wait a second…

Not exactly..the trade didn't hard cap us. A S&T even at a lower dollar amount would have.

i think you missed their point. one potential drawback of accepting a s&t was hardcapping and losing AC.

but we just did that anyway!

For some fans I guess. At the hardcap we wouldn't have signed Caruso or Tucker either.

right. the joke is that we wouldn't do A to avoid B, but then just did B without A.

i'm sure bobby marks would like that. but no. we don't need more olds and sgs. and we don't need to be spraying picks around on players that won't improve our chances of winning.

That would be a good trade for us. Fournier is only 29 and Burks 30. Kemba is 31, so hes not that old. All three of those players could shoot. Fournier and Burks are 6-7 and 6-6, so it's not like we are adding more small shooting guards.

they play small and move old. the knicks just signed fournier and are already looking to unload him. what does that say? he's been trending down, is a minus on both ends lately, and has never been a good defender. pretty much all the same things can be said for kemba, except at least he still brings something offensively.

burks is at least defending some, and his deal isn't bad, either. he'd be the jewel of the trade, and i'd probably rather keep the 1st in case something better comes along later.

There isn't a trade out there, that's going to fix the problem of Lebron and AD, only playing together, in 16 of our 49 games so far this season. THAT is the problem with this team. I don't see how some trade is going to compensate for that. It doesn't matter who we have, if that issue continues, it's a wrap.

I don't get why we're pining after this guy so hard. We have Monk. We're good. We have much bigger needs. Literally. Bigger players that play D. Let it go, Rob.

I guess the fact that we shot 20% from three as a team last night got him concerned in that department. But no he’s not the answer as he is another one way player but with a huge contract. I’d much rather stick with what we have.

IDK...football season is about over. The NBA is about to take center stage in the sports world. Lakers rumors are about to be all over the place. It's the Lakers, Lebron, Hollywood. We will probably get mentioned in some kind of deal, for half the league by the deadline. I expect some type of Dame, Kyrie, Kevin Love or Harden rumor to pop up next week.

They probably feel Monk is gone this off-season.

Lol wow that’s embarrassing. Of all Kings players why another SG anyway, why not try for Barnes.

Maybe because we have the worst starting SG in the league? Allegedly.

Seriously though Hield is sucking this year. He’s shooting 38% from the field. And that’s all he does is shoot. Sure his 3 pt. percentage is good at .375 but Bradley is higher at .38 and he’s shooting .425 from the field while playing actual defense. Monk is shooting.475 and 40% from three. Both are doing better than Buddy.

Maybe we have just given up on THT and on Monk returning.

We likely do have the worst starting SG in the league, but that doesn’t mean you make it worse. Just start Monk and play Bradley 15 mpg or so, or phase his minutes out entirely and split them between Reaves and Monk.
