wait...abbott still has a job? I hadn't seen his ugly mug or read his fake deep takes in a long time.

    this is disappointing.

I usually don't even read ESPN articles. I saw that one quote about Kobe not even being an NBA level player and had to see what the hell was up with that.

Kobe looked good against the Suns offensively. He actually looks ready for the NBA season. I cant reiterate enough how worried I was last season when he came back, he did not look ready at all.

Agreed. Kobe never really looked right to me last year, he came back way to fast from achilles surgery at his advantaged age.

I think his performance against the Jazz was the most positive things to take away. He shot about 43% while putting up 27 points; I'd imagine that consistency would improve has his legs get underneath him. Throughout the games, in limited minutes, he's getting to the line about 6-7 times. I think his defense has looked better than I'd expect for someone at his relatively 'old age' in basketball years. The key is maintaining health, minutes, etc...if he does that, he'll have a great year.

Well after picking out lakerswiz on that clown site, guess what..... I may have found "LGL" on there as well [IMG] see post below and note the wording. C'mon now..... could be...... same misplaced importance on one aspect of the game.

MJ averaged 20-5-4 during his Washington Wizards years., very respectable numbers. but even he wasn't a top 20 player at that point. there were easily 20 guys playing in the all-star game better than him. so let's move to Kobe, who is not only old, he's been injured. no one is ranking Kobe's career, talent level or his knowledge of the game. he's being ranked on his projected output ... stats, win shares, PER. and given that criteria, i agree, ranking him 40 may be generous. he's ranked ten places ahead of lance stephenson. i don't know about you, but give me the 24 year old with fresh legs and athleticism.

Jordan averaged 21-6-4.5 in his Wiz years, just sayin.

    But that athleticism...does sound familiar.

Thanks for the clip Doc. Knew this was coming .... he's moving too well compared to last year's brief time back and he did it then. Kobe is the one freaking bright spot in another pre-season of crap so far. AND IT IS A GREAT ONE.

Am even down a little bit on Randle for the fact that Scott seems to think he's not working hard enough. Then again, unlike commentators poo pooing "blisters" on his feet the other night, they are no laughing matter if big or bad enough..... especially with what Scott is expecting out of him.
