Yeah we were tearing up the league before then…. You take the weirdest stances, I’ve never seen anyone stick up for superstars to this degree, as if they above anyone else need the help.
Did you see AD play before he went down? He’s not saving us LJ, we’re done as-is, it’s a bad roster. In fact he probably tired out so fast and looked worse because we’re so bad on defense as a team and he was having to cover for everyone’s mistakes.
Well he was sort of half assed for sure Weezy. I’ll agree there. Just hoping he picks up his game and his attitude in time to make a run still this season. I refuse to give up on us midway. Hopefully AD feels the same. We’ll see. We need him back desperately.
if vogel gets fired it'll most likely be fizdale who takes over that's pretty much the way this season is going
So: they play D and beat one of the good teams (Jazz). Every Laker fan who pays attention said the ONLY question now is: can they do it consistently? I thought, "Yea, maybe for a few games, like this easy one coming up against Indiana...but they'll revert. It's a bad roster, despite 5 future HoFers..they're too old. But maybe they will begin to care. But I doubt it." Aaaaand then Indiana comes in and beats 'em. They can't even sustain effort for TWO games in a row. The 2nd one being against a team that's going nowhere in the Leastern. No one can stop Caris Levert in the 4th Q. Sabonis has a triple-double. They lost by 7 and were outscored by 11 in the crucial 4th Q. Russ in 27 mins: 14/2 (!)/3(!). On 5 for 17 shooting. Now the long road trip. It's looking like an epic implosion. Wailing and gnashing of teeth, maybe Vogel gets fired. Players pointing fingers at each other. They SUUUUCK. The Lakers (somehow) SUUUUUCK this year. Wow. Who here has a long, nasty fork? Ya know, the kind you use when you're BBQing huge steaks? Yea, that's it. Now go ahead and stick it into the entire Lakers team. 'Cuz they done, man. When the history of this year's team is written, Lebron's insistence on getting Russ will be, let us say, "much-discussed."
It's a good thing we sacrificed all our D for 3-point shooting on our roster this summer. Wait, what's that? We're averaging 35% and last season we averaged 35.4%. Oh.
Both sides leaked stories to the media and Frank laid it all out there on Russ. Things are just Going to get even uglier here before we make roster and coaching changes.
This is unacceptable. We should not even be in the play-in. Don't deserve it and it's better that way, so that the FO and the players can take a look in the mirror and maybe do something about this in the offseason. Well, at least it's easy when it comes to the players, they WILL do something about it... ...because most of them aren't coming back. Good.
i'll take a weird stance and ask that most guys do come back next year. part of why we're terrible is because we turned over the entire roster with no regard for how that can impact a team.
Who? Monk should come back, which will be difficult to execute. Stanley and Reaves certainly. THT might get traded, same with Nunn. Ellington, DJ, Baze, Ariza? No chance. Melo will be 38, probably fine off the bench if he's up to it. It's up to him and Dwight what they want to do. I think it might be time to go younger at this point. Then we can start working on the stability. Because I see at least 5 dudes being gone for sure.
trading THT at the absolute nadir of his value is ridiculous, imo. ellington/dj/baze are already functionally off the team, and that level of roster churn is fine with me. 3-4 different guys. but we're playing all the guys people want us to and still losing: because our stars aren't playing up to the billing/salary. i don't think we're going to move the stars for any upgrade, so you have to hope for organic growth from within from the younger players.
is that worthy? lol the pacers game is exactly the kind of game this bad team loses. just relax at home against the crap opponent after giving a good effort against a top team just a couple days before. telling on themselves with their play and their actual words. i just don't know what buttons are left to push for the coach or even the front office right now.
Yeah the Pacers were 3-17 on the road before this game. Just another inexcusable loss in a string of inexcusable losses.
