Lakers dropped a Bomb on that fool- he should never utter the word “Lakers” again in regards to what’s happening on the inside.

Hield and KCP are around 38m and Kings were throwing in another minimum so that’s around 40m. I don’t think 4 million really changes things to keep Caruso or not since he wanted 10m per. They just chose THT over him and he probably didn’t want 5m per. Bad valuation by the front office but it’s not about Westbrook and we shouldn’t keep bringing up Buddy Hield.

We lost a trade partner when we got Westbrook and blindsided Sacramento. The way we did it probably brought some friction. SAC looks like its ready to deal, they have some pieces we could use like Barnes, Hield or heck even Damian Jones

That Hield deal sucked though. I bet nobody is giving up two starting caliber players and a 1st round pick for this guy either. I'm not sure what they have to be mad about.

Assuming the foot checks out, THT + Nunn + 27 1st is better than that package.

The only player I would want from them is Fox.

i've wanted barnes for two years. when we were talking hield, i wanted barnes instead. he's a versatile forward who plays both ends and can even create some offense in a pinch. good guy off the court, too, never been a problem anywhere. someone needs to deliver him from sacramento. he doesn't deserve it.

This podcast proposed an interesting trade which includes Malik Monk for Lou Dort. Monk has been great offensively but he can be hunted defensively by good teams and we don't have his bird rights so he's most likely gone this off-season. Dort on the other hand isn't great offensively (53% TS) but he does shoot a good volume of threes and is a great defender.

Realistically, I don't see why OKC would do this trade since they could just sign Monk without giving up an asset by using their cap space this offseason if they were interested in him.

Thats a bad trade imo. Monk’s microwave scoring ability is more important than Dort’s defensive capabilities. Monk’s been our second best scorer, we would struggle to replace that production.

And they'd never deal a top tier wing defender who's under contract next season for a rental with Monk when they're a tanking team. Nothing in it for them.

    I'm on the Barnes train:
    • 33% of his career three-point attempts have been from the corner.
    • Hits 42% of corner threes for his career.
    • He hit 49% of his corner threes during the 2020-2021 season, and this year he is hitting 55%!
This is a useful skill to have next to Lebron and AD. We may have to over pay a little though, because Pelinka already pissed Sacramento off. But an offer of THT, Nunn, Bazemore, Reeves, and the 2027 first round pick would be solid, and they would have to consider it.

What? I wouldn’t even trade Reaves alone straight up for Barnes if the salaries matched. Barnes ain’t all that. He’s solid, but I don’t think he’s even close to the worth of two young prospects plus a first.

Nah man, we need to be careful not to over value our own players. I like Reeves too. It's just, you have to give up something to get something. With that being said, Kings might probably still do the trade without Reeves in it. THT and Haliburton were college teammates, so maybe there is something there with that. Instead of Reeves, maybe we throw in a couple second round picks.
