I think they used the running game well last game. I thought they used Mariota much better too. I dont mind Carr taking chances but sometimes he makes my eyes cross like going for the big bomb when we need two yards or throwing a 4 yard completion when we got 3rd and 9. Yesterday they moved the ball well and had a nice balance. Three times our receivers got mugged without getting the PI calls that would of extended drives (one was on Mariottas pass). All in all I felt like he (and the offense) was doing about 80-90% right.

I couldn’t believe it when i saw the headline. But, yeah, at least he wasn’t driving. But he had to get there somehow. Just a bad decision.

Just some quick notes about winning since the start of the Gruden tenure.
    2018: 4 wins
    2019: 7 wins*
    2020: 8 wins*
    2021: 9 wins*

    1. That's an improvement every year.
    2. The 17 wins in consecutive seasons is only the third time since 2001/2002 that the Raiders have won at least 17 in a two year span.
    3. The last three years, the Raiders have faced a "win and in" game to end the season.

Carr has faced the Chargers 15 times in his career.
After dropping the last two, he's 7-8.
He has, however, played pretty well against them with 3325 yards, 20 TDs, and 9 INTs. In his last six starts against them, he has only 1 INT vs. 6 TD passes.

Herbert has been awesome against the Raiders.
His team has averaged 29 PPG, and he has thrown for 7 TDs vs. 0 INTs (and added a rushing TD) in going 2-1 over the last two seasons.
His passer rating is 110.8 in those contests.

A lot of people counting out the Raiders today. It's funny to think of considering that the teams have the same record and the Raiders have just won 3 in a row. I listened to the pundits and a lot talk about the poise of Hubert and all his weapons which he is a great QB and does have a lot of weapons too but they fail to actually remember the last game we played. If you go by score board it looks like they handled us well and the defense, which gets crapped on unfairly imo, was atrocious. The truth is the defense gave up 2 quick scores and then held LA to nothing til the 4th qrtr which by that time they were gassed and pressing. The offense didn't show up until the end of the 2nd qrt which we finally scored. Then we scored again. And had the ball and was moving it to tie it up at 21 before I believe we either got intercepted or fumbled. We started pressing and the game got away. It wasn't the clear victory that the pundits keep screaming.

I said at the beginning of the year I thought this team could be a 12 win team. Through all the crap we have a chance to win our 10th game and that is with laying 3 massive eggs against crappy teams. Today, I think DC finally makes his jump into the "Get it done" QB convo and takes us to the playoffs. Im ready to see this one.......

    LETS GET THAT W

Lose a coach, lose your first round WR, first round CB, all for the season. Lose your PB TE for half the season. Win 9-10 games anyway? This team has heart. Let's go, boys!

There's something strange brewing. The Jags are winning. And the Ravens were winning, but Big Ben led the Steelers to take the lead. The Ravens are now in FG position with 2:00 left.

If the Steelers don't win (L or T okay), and...
    The Jags win, then...

The Raiders are in, regardless of tonight's game.

Ive given Carr a bunch of heat for not playing well enough especially between the 2nd and 3rd quarters but one of the sports reporters said something this week that really made me think. He said, DC was the perfect QB/leader for this season to keep the Raiders afloat with all the crap of the season. He said that DC stayed composed, kept his leadership and kept his boys fighting. Said DC isn't the best QB but the best in this situation for the Raiders.

I really think I undervalued what guys like Carr, Maxx and Coach have said in the light of all that sh**. They need to finish the job but damn they really have shouldered a lot and kept the right words and attitudes coming out of the locker room. Like you said, this team has heart for sure.

That Facyson penalty was a massive momentum moment. This just feels like a loss now. Chargers have taken the lead, and they have everything working. Raiders' D is tired, and the O is playing on mud, it seems.

Hopefully Carr can get this team energized and some points before the half.

    - Hoping that Philon can play Saturday.
    - Jones and Edwards come through.
    - Carlson is MONEY.
    - Credit to the Chargers for all those 4th down conversions.
    - Happy we're in the postseason considering the craziness endured.
    - Going for it 4th down on your own 20+? That was just arrogant. Glad we stuffed them.
    - Elated we're in. Don't care what happens. A win would be nice. :)

It didn't look good on Philon. His knee seemed to give out on the jump, going up. He was having a hell of a game, and he was a solid pickup this season. Here's hoping.

Jones and Edwards did enough. Man, Edwards has some strong hands.

He helped me win my FFB league for the first time in like ten years. lol

Your own 18 yardline? That dude plays the numbers, and he has an excellent QB. It makes them a deadly team. Credit to Herbert. He took massive shots from the Raiders' pass rush. Yet he kept delivering.

We're much better than we showed against the Bengals last time. The Raiders are able to keep it to within a score, but it's going to be a tough game.

I'm glad we HAD TO win it. I despise having to back into a spot. We earned it. Far more satisfying...

Man what a game. I have to give credit to Justin that is one bad man for the SD Chargers. That game had everything and boy I'm glad we went punch for punch. I am glad the offense showed they could get it done time after time. The boys left it on the field. I do think some of the calls helped SD (I'll never call them LA) on more than a few occasions but in the end we did the damn thing.

With that being said Coach B deserves a 2-3 year deal. He has led this team through a lot and damn these boys responded. They have made mistakes, they have failed, they have blown it.... they kept fighting. I'm not sure what happens but I think he deserves it.

Now, watching the news up to the game no one is giving the Raiders a shot against the Bengals. They talk their QB, their receivers, their RB and their victory over us like it was never close. The only thing I've heard positive about us is that Maxx is a bad man, the rush line is solid and Renfrow is nightmare. That's it. It's like we would be lucky to beat them.

Every time they doubt us it makes me want us to prove the haters wrong. I hope Raider Nation invade that stadium and take over for this victory!

It's time to push the chips into the center of the table. Their hand vs ours. No turning back. No redo's. No mulligans. No excuses. We picked flew the flag and set sail for the enemies home turf. We rocked the league when we announced our presence in the post season. They are looking, wondering and fearing the men in black coming into town. It's time to step up. It's time to show up. It's time to undo almost 2 decades of futility. No one believes a band of pirates can take the chosen one and all his weapons. No one believed Rocky could beat Drago. No one believes in the Silver and Black which has been in battle after battle after battle and even though bloodied from the wars still stand victories after each.

It's game time fellas! It's go time. It's for Al. It's for John Madden. It's for an interim coach. It's for a QB who could never get it done when it mattered. It's for two addicts proven to themselves they got what it takes to get out of the darkness and ride the winds to the top. It's for a franchise that people want to laugh at and mock the battle cry....""Just Win Baby!" It's for the fans from Oakland to LA to Oakland to Las Vegas and all over the globe. It's TIME!
