    Latest from Shams...

Floats a disgruntled Collins and Reddish as a possible package for Simmons. I don't hate that for either team.
Cavs looking to upgrade by moving Rubio + picks
    Latest on Grant
The fact that he's one of the most sought after this deadline doesn't help our chances.

Teams like Wall if he shakes free but aren't going to pay his current salary

Levert and Turner are getting traction, we're linked again to Turner
Come on Rob... get us Turner. Give up all the pieces--THT, Nunn, Baze, DJ, 1st rounder, 2nd rounder, 3rd rounder... whatever they want.

Lakers don't solve their issues by just getting Turner for all the youth. Russell has to go. He jacks up the entire flow of the team. He doesn’t play defense well and makes horrid mistakes against good teams.

This is one of those addition by subtraction situations. They have to figure out a way to dump Westbrook. They will need a 3rd team and the Lakers would have to take on a huge contract that's longer than 2 years.

It's all quite from the Lakers front which is a good thing. The Westbrook move and AD trade happened out of nowhere when we least expected it.

Yeah, his hops look intact. It’s the stamina I was referring to. That’s takes time in the court.

To be fair, he actually has not been that bad lately. Probably because there is more spacing with Lebron at center, and without AD in there. I hate to say it, but when AD gets back, things might get jacked up again. If we cant move Westbrook, I think it would serve us well to get a better shooter for the 3 position (preferably one that could play defense). If we have Monk at the 2 and another shooter at the 3, along with Lebron being a "stretch 5", perhaps this could be enough to alleviate any spacing issues caused by AD and Westbrook.

Hawks, Magic and Pistons look like they're ready to make some trades, not sure what their interest level is for Westbrook but they might be open for a THT deal and a multi-team deal could get it done Unfortunately that may not be enough to make us a title contender, we need to break up our Big 3

Westbrook to Orlando for Harris and Fultz works. This trade would save the Lakers a boat load of money. 7.2 million dollar savings this season alone. 30.6 million off of next season's payroll, and a total of 37 million over the next two seasons. And, this is not including luxury tax savings. Lakers may even get under the cap with this deal. Could also be a three teamer:

    Lakers: Grant, Harris and Fultz

    Pistons: Bamba, Nunn, and Reeves

    Magic: Westbrook and THT

He's only played better or decent against medicore to bad teams. Anytime we have played against the top 4 teams or any decent coached team, he gets ruined.

    Aussie Gold [IMG] ?

    Or beer bong [IMG] ?

Not to mention ... do you have a death wish? With all the Lakers FO types that lurk here .... if you were the reason they actually were able to pull this off and dealt Reaves, after letting the Eagle walk .... @Cookie will fly over there and track you down and torture you before killing you.

Fair enough! I propose an edit of this trade: Replace Reeves with Bazemore and the 2027 1st. Sorry Cookie.

Where's that insider Mr. Rambis with an update? I'm curious about the current temperament of the higher ups. This can't be what they envisioned when they brought this roster together.

he can make it so that lebron plays most of his minutes at the 3. turner's a good fit, in theory. he can defend centers but is a credible threat from distance on offense. i think vogel could rebuild a top-tier defense with him and AD as the frontcourt. i honestly prefer it to getting grant and going all-in on smallball. with a monster-sized frontcourt, we can get away with playing our smaller guards more than when we go small at 5, too.

i suppose there can be surprise moves, but of all the folks rumored to be available, the only guys i'm moving THT (and nunn, tbh) for are grant and turner. hope we don't make a move just to make a move.
