Vaccinated and boosted and Gobert had the original bug which kicked off the beginning of the shutdown in 2020. Virus is like the honey badger …. doesn’t give a s***. Just killed the 48 year old strong and healthy Orange County Republican gal who ran for state assembly and was anti mandate and unvaccinated. Quickly. Predominately now, by a landslide, the hospitalizations and serious after lingering effects and deaths are among the unvaccinated. NBA and sports in general just doing what they can in unprecedented times.

i know quite a few people who had covid last year and have gotten it again because the past variants really don't offer any sort of protection against omicron. seems like the same is happening in the NBA

people went way overboard on tatum as a #1 guy, imo. and outside of brown and tatum, boston's really let its roster downgrade in quality over time. they should be better than .500 in the east and a playoff team, but no one should expect them to be a contender or anything.

it certainly is partially embiid's fault that philly's in their situation. he could have acted differently, but the guy's just kind of an a******.

i felt like he started struggling when he wasn't essentially coaching a college team anymore. their organizational shuffle was weird, too. took them a long time to realize that ainge's brilliance was pure luck (his friend was the wolves gm when kg was on the block, and billy knight made possibly the worst trade in nba history), but moving stevens to the FO was odd to me.

    absolutely

udoka is an awful coach from what i've seen in the C Bags games i've watched this season. brown missing extended time with injury and tatum not being able to hit the side of a barn with his shot has probably played a role in their struggled as well

This team should NEVER have the word Worthy associated with them for any reason, even unworthy is not deserving. James told me to tell you this!!!

True that …. I thought about giving this disclaimer, “(no offense to James)”. But brain farted (find myself catching the condition from watching RW play basketball) … and didn’t do it.

Latest trade buzz from Marc Stein...

Cliff notes: Hawks recently floated as a destination for Simmons. Jazz looking to get better defensively by possibly moving Ingles. Dame's injury resulting in eyes on Portland. Cavs want more playmaking. Most likely to move by deadline--Myles Turner, Jerami Grant, Dennis Schröder, Eric Gordon, Terrence Ross, Buddy Hield, Marvin Bagley III, Robert Covington and Jusuf Nurkić.

i mean, i definitely didn't think the hawks were as good as their playoff success indicated last year. and it was clear they were headed for a let down.

honestly, i expected the suns to drop back into the pack, too, but mostly because i continue to be amazed by cp3's newfound ability to stay upright.

i'm interested in turner or grant and would move our only tradeable asset for either, given the right circumstances. the rest of the list...nope.

I agree, they did a good job of capitalizing on the watered down competition last year.

But they have a lot of really enticing young assets, Gallo's $20m deal ends next summer, they have all their own picks, and an additional 8 2nd rounders over the next 5 drafts (including some from OKC, NO, & CHA... essentially late 1sts).

They're in a really good position to trade for someone big, but they can't miss because they cannot land stars via FA.

I'd take Convington if we had lesser talented higher paid players or he made less OR if he gets bought out. I don't know why he hasn't worked there. He fits what they and most playoff teams need. I think his talent is better than the fit. But I'm not giving up THT or Nunn for him.
