Looks like Lebron's crew is giving Ben Simmons a look

Lebron had nothing to do with guys missing all those wide open shots. The same way, he had nothing to do with guys missing all those wide open shots last season.

Lebron can be blamed for a lot of things outside the court. But between the hoops, he plays like the star he is.

Getting WB may have been signed off by Lebron but he didn't demand it. It was the only realistic trade the Lakers could make to get a star.

Rob would need to pull a couple rabbits out his hat to rite the ship but you can't put this on LeBron.

This is an Anthony Davis issue more than anything. He is suppose to be in his prime and trying to play MVP ball.

only way lebron leaves the lakers is when his contract is up to either team up with bronny or to play one last season in cleveland

    he's not getting traded

Lebron is a better player at 36 soon to be 37, than Kobe was at 34. He is a remarkable talent, BUT if the staff thinks that using Lebron, to play AD's role as a small ball center is the move. That is an unbelievably terrible plan. James won't make it to the playoffs.

i agree until the end. don't see how AD is supposed to put up offensive mvp numbers when he's got a paint full of bodies on every catch. same reason THT can't shine. only so many dudes can be in one spot at a time. our four best players all score best at the basket (and are all very good at creating those valuable opportunities). but you really only need two, maybe three if the third plays off the bench. having 4 in the starting lineup doesn't work when none of them are also shooting threats.

This is why I'm still optimistic (or I got my blinkers on lol). We have not seen Reaves/Monk/THT/Ariza at all so far. In a week or two even w/o AD we should have a better idea of what this team is or is not capable of.

The phoenix game is a great example Paul and Booker played well but their roleplayer feasted on IT/DAJ/etc. I wonder if the Lakers lead the league in different lineup combos because they've had to scramble

As I said before -- there will be a fake/milked injury and the season will be scratched. Stand by it.

And there are still those who wonder why we didn’t want LeGM from the start.
Without the League shutting down, allowing LeGM and AD to heal up, the LeGM era in Lakerland would have been a complete failure.

yeah, reaves and ariza are game-changing role players compared to who we're running right now. and THT is another guy capable of dropping 25-30 points and helping make a game against a team like sacramento less of a nailbiter (in theory).

it's just that at this point we'll be past the halfway point before we can even theoretically see the roster as intended. and my guess is something else will happen before that. injury/availability issues tend to cascade. one begets another.

I’ll never understand this perspective. Our franchise had become a laughingstock before LeBron agreed to sign here, people were calling for Jeanie to sell the team. We couldn’t get a star to even get us a legit look, friggin Paul George spurned us for Oklahoma City… It was so bad that when LeBron initially agreed to sign here the talking heads were saying that was it for his legacy, he’d never win a title again, and he clearly only became a Laker to be in Hollywood to make movies. Then the first season he was back we were going to make the playoffs after like 5 years in a row without making it, and he got hurt. Year 2 we won a title and tied the C Bags.

And before the bubble happened and the stoppage and all that, hadn’t we just beaten the Clippers and Bucks in huge wins that started to show our true potential? Then like title teams do we gelled and got hot at the right moment and won it all. Why, as a fan of this team, try to downplay the title and the reasons for it? Every season a title is dependent on some luck and good health. Injuries have cost some great teams titles for sure, and good health has allowed some to get there.

It’s not great right now as a Lakers fan to be .500 with this team, but LeBron pulled this franchise out of the fire, he got us through that fiasco of Magic quitting like he did. I’m not turning on the guy because we’ve had a bumpy road post-title, I learned to never take watching a star this good for granted again because once they’re gone you will miss it, the consistency of excellence, knowing you’re in most games because you have that guy.

Aww geese this horse crap again with the asterisks stuff. Like every single team didn't go through the same experience with shut down and then the bubble. And a ring is a G-damn ring and another banner up on the wall. Some Laker fan as you proclaim. Most of your takes are rational so why go HERE??
