Time to call Bismack Biyombo for at least a 10 day. Or Faried, since we've already worked him out. He's about cooked, but like IT, he has something this team lacks... heart.

How does the team like heart? Is getting injured somehow related to having heart? I mean seriously, what exactly defines heart in basketball?

Getting outplayed and out hustled by borderline NBA teams when you have 6 Hall of Famers, including 3 current stars. That's a team who doesn't give a s*** and is banking on being able to flip the switch come April when as a group, they haven't earned that right.

That's not heart, effort maybe..meh..that Hall of Fame stuff is meaningless for Melo,Rondo and Dwight..young legs are young legs...they don't have any. We shall see who has "heart " moving forward then. I've never heard of Lebron and Russ lacking in that regard.

heard of? i've watched lebron the past two years, and if you think he's leading by example in the effort category, i'm not sure what to say.

You can actually connect AD’s downward spike in effort with LeBron’s. He’s just following after what his buddy has been doing- playing with minimal effort most nights.

Lol..Great trade Lebron, Russ and AD. All problems solved. We can watch a bunch of youngsters play hard for 48 minutes and lose 50 games. At least you will be encouraged by their heart and effort

we're nearing the halfway point of the season. the russ trade wasn't good. it emptied the roster of quality role players with no means to replace them and was made with no regard for roster building. this wasn't about the kids versus AD. that was a great trade. the best.

    the russ trade was not.

We still have 52 regular season games left to play, and a couple of key players haven't played yet. I think we will do better than 7th and the play in game with what we have. It will be interesting to see our record without AD, compared to last year's team.

Am I being irrationally optimistic ?...

Possibly..but I'm expecting Lebron and Russ, to rise to the occasion and play like elite players. Nunn's absence has been a big blow IMO, because I feel like he was the best signing we made. He'll be back before AD, and Trevor will probably play in the next game or two. Talen, Monk, Avery, Reaves and Dwight .. ..SMH...Covid throws a monkey wrench into the equation no doubt. It impacts other teams too though, so...one game at a time. The playoffs will be the ultimate judge on the Russ trade, it's still up in air at the moment.

i agree that losing caruso and KCP has hurt the team defensively, but westbrook is not the problem

it's the overall lack of effort on defense/rebounding that is killing this team. IT was the first guy this entire season to play like he actually cared

Still think the main mistake is we chose to sign so many guards.

Words matter. I understand your and mine and all of our frustration, but the last sentence is over the top and you logically can not mean it as fact. I have a problem with negative hyperbole. Not that anyone cares what my problems are. Just causes me to take issue about it reflexively. Sorry.

sure seemed like it to me after watching lebron and AD sleepwalk through most of the games this season. i should've mentioned westbrook too as playing like he cares, because he for sure doesn't take nights off unlike the other two stars

russ isn't the problem--in that he's exactly what we thought he was. he's the problem in that he's eating 44 million in salary and we ended up with only vet mins for most of the roster as a result.
