Not just that. We held them to two made FGs. I know ORL is awful, but keeping any NBA team to 2 buckets is damn impressive.

Defense is getting there. 3 wins in a row. Team is slowly building some momentum and chemistry.

    I will definitely take it.

after almost 30 games, this is the longest winning streak of the season at 3 games...kind of embarassing for a team with Championship aspirations but I guess you take whatever you can get.

I feel no joy watching our games, specially the early ones.
But I must say that lately, there's a few moments in between games that give me some hope.
I mean, individually speaking, each one of our stars are straight ballers. Lebron is still with Joker, Curry, Giannis and Durant in the top of the league for me. Then we have a bunch of guys who have been through everything in this league. It just strikes me we are able to play so bad sometimes. I think if we click, we have a shot. I'm not so sure about that click, but I'm more positive regarding that more recently

We are #9 defense in the last 3 games

I mostly agree with and want to “like” that post but the first half of the first sentence is holding me back. Odd wording considering the joy of what happened last night for the kid who through it all has been a ray of light for us. Totally see where you’re coming from. I flush the stinkers and start fresh each game. Certainly there’s a bit of progression going on and surprisingly a lot of the hope from me towards having a legit shot at the ring still lF healthy IS because Westbrook is here.

I get criticism but we have to be able to enjoy the highs along the way too. Seeing a guy like Austin nail a huge shot was awesome IMO. Team played hard, etc etc. Most importantly we won.

A lot of good to take away from last night particularly here in the optimism thread.

yeah, there were several aspects of the game that concerned me, but we could have easily lost and didn't thanks to some clutch shots from a few players (ellington, russ, and of course reaves). the reaves winner may be one of the highlights of the season even months from now, so we should enjoy it.

Austin Reaves! This kid has been such a highlight for me this season even when we struggled. I just love the way he plays. Also Russ had a fantastic game last night knocking down that clutch corner three and finding Reaves for the game winner. Outstanding!

Oh, Reaves 3 was BY FAR the best moment of the season so far. He deserves it so much.
I understand that in the end as we got the win, things look brighter. But we were down a lot of time, scrambled through the game and the end was just chaos. Terrible play call by Lebron in the end of Q4, AD playing horrible defense in Powell 3. Relying on a 3 from Westbrook late in the game and then relying on a rookie to win us the game. Too much crazy.

But yeah, we should feel well with the positive things. We are defending better, hopefully Reaves pinned a place in the rotation, he is one of our top defenders by far, will impact the team massively. And the celebration with him at the end with the whole team, shown great chemistry and bonding. Could be a deciding moment in this year. We need to make it count and go in a little run the next few games

Lakers offensive sets appear to be getting better.
They generated a ton of good looks yesterday and things just got fluky (Ellingatin/Reaves missing wide open uncontested 3's and Dallas hitting contested 3's with the shot clock winding down or banking shots in)

Things even out over time and if you can generate good looks and create tough looks for the opponent, this isn't soccer and you'll have enough chances that the flukes will be cancelled out.

We just need two guys who fit with our big 3 to close out games.

LBJ and Russ look like ravenous dogs when guys like Ellington and Reaves make plays. Ellington had a huge 3, steal and deflection in crunch time. LBJ and Russ ran this shockingly quick fast break that resulted in a dunk, it’s like they turned back the clock for that.

The enthusiasm from our stars after our role players stepped up is pretty telling to me. I’m starting to see the potential for this team.
