Having him be the one that sticks would be kind of amazing though. Think of all the young players who were not able to stick it out with LBJ. Austin kind of has the perfect tools to be that guy. I am liking my Jerry West comparison. The ONLY thing I see that needs work is his body. Kind of light and skinny. Needs to put on some weight and build some muscle. If his outside shooting is this good with this little pro experience, think what it could be like in a couple of years. Yeah!!! Another frigging miracle rookie find for this team. Jeez, how many have they found in the last decade?
He could definitely bulk up a bit, but even now he’s still deceptively strong though. He doesn’t really get pushed around defensively and is able to sometimes switch onto bigger players without losing too much ground. His lateral quickness is also a big strength so maybe he benefits from being slim. But yeah give him a few years working with a professional training staff, getting advice from Lebron how to develop his body, getting coached by Phil Handy, the sky is the limit.
Lakers and Heat have to be the best at finding these types of dudes. Extraordinary game from this rook. I'm still legit mad about the Caruso thing. But, I kind of look at it like my goldfish died and my parents are doing their best to fake me out with another one. It's kinda working.
we wanted duarte, he went lotto, so we just got reaves as a udfa. no biggie. i think it's just about a guy who plays hard and smart on both ends and has a similar origin story (humble but supremely confident, aw-shucks-y). oh and that other thing... but i agree that their games are different. imagine having both. lol joey searching for love.
From an Eagle to a goldfish and you’re adapting. Children of caring parents certainly have a leg up on life.
i'll add that they asked a lot out of reaves down the stretch. he alternated between guarding brunson and hardaway, and he did a respectable job keeping both in front of him. hardaway hit a very tough shot over him (and another over melo), but he forced a couple misses just with good positioning.
Maaan, I believe it will happen some day. It's just too much IQ and hustle, teams wouldn't be able to handle it. With AD and Luka + some stretch 4, it's a Championship lineup
Silly question I'm sure but Austin's shot made Sport Center's Top 10 right? Did it get multiple plays? Never watch any more. Do they still do the Top 10?
