We didn't win anything with them, and they haven't won anything elsewhere. What is there to miss? Caruso and Kuz played a smaller role in the bubble but if we win another chip, I won't miss them either.

I think everyone wants to be sure the cupboard isn’t left completely bare once Lebron is done/gone.

if we keep winning, nobody complains. But if we lose, all of the haters will come out.

IDK...I followed Kareem to the Lakers, maybe I'm too old to get caught up in potential. It's about winning chips, not developing talent IMO. I'm not too attached to any role players. I don't think we gave up any stars, most of the guys that were losing here, are still losing where they are now. Star power wins in the NBA, that hasn't changed much since I was a kid.

I feel you, but the cupboard was rather stocked and we couldn't even make the playoffs. I like to look at all that cap space, plus AD, we'll have when Lebron and Russ exit. We will continue to chase the big fish moving forward. I like that strategy.

It has worked so far for sure, and with our drafting department finding hillbillies and such, I think we will be in good shape.

we just live in a toxic “what have you done for me lately” society

    winning cures everything

No doubt..the Lakers eye for spotting talent is unrivaled IMO. That gets a bit overlooked when pointing out all that talent we gave up.

I have been saying this for years. Sports reporting is just like political reporting. Make it up and spew out your opinion with nothing to back it up and nobody to hold you accountable.

Took half a day. Such bull****. "League sources" having knowledge of Lakers internal discussions. They should get cut off like happened to Ramona for a long period. A** hole writer and editor that approved going with the report.

I saw them talking about Dame having back issues from training camp, and needed a cortisone shot. They also said that he's going to eventually need back surgery. That would make me a little wary if I'm a GM, thinking about trading the farm for him.

Think we made the right call. Rondo has been serviceable to good whenever he's been dusted off for a game this season and I've enjoyed Coach Rondo standing on the sideline every night. Last thing this current roster needed was another undersized scoring guard.

I just thought of a trade idea that works for both teams.

    Indiana received THT
Lakers receive Chris Duarte and Torrey Craig.

Although Duarte is a rookie, THT is actually a couple years younger. Duarte is one of those rookies who have shown he can contribute as a very good role player right away, can be solid on defense and hit the 3. You need either Justin Holiday or Torrey Craig to make the salaries match, and Craig would fill a need as that SF/PF to 3 and D. He would be the better option for that role over old Ariza.

Indiana does this trade because they declared they are rebuilding and THT has the highest upside of the 3 players involved.

Adding those two doesn’t greatly increase our chances of winning the Chip, IMO.
Although THT may not become a perennial All Star, I think it’s way too early to give up on him.

I believe Rondo's impact does not show in TV.
I can just imagine him in practice, locker room, plane trips, etc, picking the brain of THT, Monk, etc. It's just so valuable to have a guy who knows so much about basketball around you 24/7 in your professional life.

What I can't understand is why our offense is so s***. I supposed he was going to be the offensive coach of this team.
Well, maybe he is and he's just not good in this role. Or he isn't and whoever is is doing a terrible job
That's a lateral move, at best.
How is Duarte any different of Monk or Nunn? If we give THT, we must get Turner
