He’s a mismatch for most everyone at small ball center if they’re not to tall or strong to the point where you’re risking too much wear and tear in battling with that.

Well, maybe the effort issue had to do with him playing while still on the mend?
He played some inspired ball tonight and let’s hope it keeps up because the entire team feeds off of it.

Those blocks were ridiculous, someone in season 19 shouldn’t be still doing that. Defense sparked that run, it was a thing of beauty, fantastic game from LeBron.

Yeah, we talked about this in Game Time. I don't understand where he gets this kind of lift from at 37... and he looks like he weighs around 255 right now. That's just not fair, LOL.

Unlike AD, LeBron has the leadership in him to show up when AD is missing.

most important is the defense creeping back up. that has to be our calling card. with our roster makeup, we have to be a top-5 defense to reasonably contend. preferably like, top 1 defense, though that's probably out of reach.

I still don't think he is a 100%: he hasn't done that power spin move in what seems forever.

The one where he typically takes 3 steps but the refs give him?

Blasphemy. That goes under "crab dribble" and is perfectly legal.

I still have no idea what that is and it may be better that I don't? Was always associated with Lebron when we hated him so figured it was illegal. If I was asking for a friend .... where does "crab" come in?

it's comprehensible. a few of us were worried about it before the season. all three of them really need to score in the paint.

It's very simple, let me explain it to you. LeBron's crab dribble works like this: you start around the 3-point line. You do hesitation dribble, then you move towards the basket. Pick up the ball, make three steps, one big, two tiny ones (spin is not necessary, but possible for style points) and then you go for a layup or a dunk absorbing some contact in the process.

It looks like this (no Bron involved):

For the three of them to not cancel one out, someone has to be sinking a high percentage of their jumpers. That was, and still is, always going to be the Achilles for this to really work.

HA! Pretty much. But when Bron’s doing his whirling dervish move I guess it’s harder to spot than Landry’s above or James’s own without the spin. Still not seeing how crab as an adjective got added to it.

Well, he had to come up with something on the spot, otherwise... what is he supposed to say? I traveled, good call?

I do think it's an actual name for a dribble, maybe an old type of dribble that was used in the post, you know: dribble on one side facing the basket, relatively close to the paint, then dribble sideways to end up in the paint, in front of the basket. Because of the sideways motion, it was named "Crab Dribble". Bron's signature move has nothing to do with it.

He was a monster against the Magic. He's had more points this season, but I think that was his most demonstrative and demoralizing game so far. He's had more pop in his step and you can tell he's ramping up and feeling healthier over the past few games. But what he did to Orlando on both sides of the ball was criminal.

What he can do at (almost) 37 is wild. Players in their prime can't perfect that chase down block like Bron or get downhill like a locomotive then explode at the rim.

I hope we don't need to many more games like that from him in the regular season against bad teams, but it's special to see and a nice reminder that he's still got it
