Lol..when we go on a nice win streak. They will doing the same things, we'll just be winning games and no one will focus on it. I think everybody coasts some during games in the regular season.

Something about COVID used to be here. It is not anymore. This is not going to be up for discussion from now on.

Regarding his comments about Vogel yesterday, he didn't throw him under the bus necessarily but he offered him zero support. When he essentially called Lue the most perfect coach in the league just a few days ago. Every comment Bron makes is calculated, whether it's to the media or on social.

From the same post-practice interview session, he also seems to be trying to distance himself from his role in building this roster. Pretty funny after the Athletic article before the season claims he GM'ed this whole thing from his war room.

Lebron likes tension, he seems to thrive on it.

I don't think the oldest guy on the roster needs to be logging 36+ minutes, taking the most shots, or scoring 30 points. I don't think that is a recipe for a championship. He's going to have to let go of the reigns a little more. He has two other stars to share the rock with, and a very capable supporting cast.

    But records must be broken....

Someone has to also score along with Russ and AD with THT and Bradley not exactly lighting it up with the starter's minutes. Honestly I think that is foremost. This guy expects to play another 4 years or whatever whether that happens or not, so I doubt he thinks he has to press to catch Kareem. The record's there though, who wouldn't want to break it considering how many years in the league with sustained high scoring are required? If he wants it (of course he does, and Kareem's already lent his blessing to the chase) .... it shouldn't be a knock on him. It's time to start winning games in bunches to make up for the lousy .500 start with 4-5 blown games that should have been won, or the playoffs won't matter.

For the Lebron the shadow GM crowd...

LeBron James' teams are usually active ahead of the trade deadline, but he feels they already have all the pieces in place this year despite the early-season struggles.

And then he looks ancient tonight. Sluggish is the best word to describe what I was watching

Odd. Either my bar is really low or I'm seeing a different game. Thought he played with a different energy from the rest of the team, actually played with pop on both ends. Did really well getting down hill. No one looked to take over as a scorer tonight, you can place blame for that. But maybe he's factoring in he'll have to do it again tomorrow.

Yeah you're right: I guess I'm just not used not imposing his will in a game like this

how much of this is these weird lineups Vogel is playing or him being old

i don't understand how you can have 3 future HOF players on the court and lose to a grizzlies team without their best player

Its about fit and also attitude. Lebron is the biggest culprit for this mess and he has approached it all wrong and continues to double down. Its not easy playing with him. That's why some of us were upset when AC and KCP were gone because they fit perfectly next to him.

he's certainly not leading by example. even his good games are largely because he got hot from the perimeter.

first time since his rookie year that he's averaging fewer than 7 boards and first time since his rookie year that his dbpm is negative. just fell off a cliff in that regard. AD's numbers are all way down, too. everybody's blaming everyone but the guys at the top. well, AD gets a lot of blame, but one could argue lebron's been worse relative to expectations. AD's not playing like a top 10 player. but neither is lebron. and when you reframe it like that, it makes sense that we're a .500 team.
