Nah my guy, I have paid attention. You are just unwilling to acknowledge there is plenty of evidence to go around showing how far this team is from even making it out of the first round because of your man crush with Westbrook.
Last year a guy rolled into Lebron's ankle..what can you do about that? I had a high ankle sprain at 15 and it took me 5 months to get back to normal. AD strained his Achilles in the Finals, and he probably should have sat out the first half of the season. That year was unique too. I mean frankly if you are so set that these guys aren't going to take us anywhere, I totally don't get your point of whining about getting rid of the group that played here last season. THEY most definitely weren't going to take us anywhere.
Maybe you should look at the standings in the West. I don't have any evidence that shows me that we wont make it out of the first round at all. It's December. I'm pretty sure Golden State and Phoenix aren't running around thinking that the season is over already either.
I am sorry I am not exactly getting your argument.. Are you saying we should trade AD/ LBJ cuz they are always injured?
lmao are you serious? Your take from my posts is that I think we should trade lebron & AD ? Actually no you are way off , I have spent most of my effort defending Russ while you guys all hate him . But no way Jose I ever said anything about trading either of them .
Lost me somewhere then. I was all for the Russ trade. So what exactly are you trying to say here? You can't compare last year's team to this one because it's still early? That is my point..Last year's squad had an entire season to earn their exit.
I never said the season was over. You like to add words to others posts. Anyway, you can take comfort in the standings. I will continue to have my opinion based on what I see happening and not happening on the floor. Comparing this to past Champions, or even teams that have made it to the West and East Finals over the past decade shows me this team isn’t close to competing at that level.
while pho n gsw aren't approaching the seasson as if its done, they are improving gm by gm, same cant be said of this team, i could argue they're actually getting worse at times
My point is that you have gleaned all that from 24 games? Your research has told you that the first 24 games, are enough evidence, to predict whether a team is capable of reaching the East or West Finals, that's facts over the last 10 years? I don't add words to anything, I regurgitate what is posted, and either pose a question or make a comment. You posted that there was enough evidence going around, to suggest that this team won't make it out of the first round. I don't consider 24 games enough evidence, to determine anything about what might happen 5 months from now. We disagree...that happens on message boards rather frequently.
historically, the way things look after 25 games is usually a pretty good predictor of how things finish. i'd feel much more comfortable if we were 4-5 games better right now.
Historically I can't think of a reference point that relates to this team. The Lakers changed out 12 players on the roster, and have played almost half of the season without the leader of the team. Throw in the fact, that some of the other rotation pieces, have missed a chunk of the season, and a couple haven't played at all yet . The Lakers are in a unique situation , we are 25 games in, and still haven't seen the complete squad play together to date. I am confident that our best basketball is ahead, hell the Houston Rockets are on a 6 game winning streak right now!
Yeah I need to see 25 games with all our big three playing before I make any kind of predictions. I agree with Slick2021. Given the massive roster makeover, Lebron out for half our games and a third of the team out through about 20 games, we haven’t really seen this team as it will be except for maybe a handful of games so far. I like the energy we are building right now. Great win against the hated ones and let’s see how we do going forward. Way too early to tell anything given what’s happened.
would have been interesting to see Kobe with a true elite PG that was the primary ball handler throughout his career he handled the rock more than the PG because he was the best option. If he could just attack with a guard who could hit him in stride? Yikes! but in some ways I'm glad I never had to root for that pud
