Yes I see a lot of half as*ing out there on the court by our stars (I should just say AD and Bron because Russ does give effort all the time). G league players aren’t going to change that. We would have some players down on the court for Russ to lob to instead of him being all alone on some fast breaks. Bron would still be down talking to the refs instead of passing half court and AD would still be picking himself off the floor from his latest fall.
And a G league All Star team wouldn't come close to producing, what they bring on the court, in spite of all that "effort" and "want to". Guys are in the G league for a reason.
yes, but one g-league allstar on a team with serious talent might outperform a washed up vet in the same role.
I was amused by Frank saying he was happy about Miles Simon coaching the G League because he is mirroring their system. I thought the consensus was there was no system. At least on offense....

i love it. other thoughts: -either i was wrong about mcclung or the g league is still an incredibly inferior level of competition. i think it's the latter. -didn't know we kept cam oliver down there. -johnson seems to be scoring ok down there. i went and looked up stats: ayayi averages 7 assists per game down there arcidiacono, shaq harrison, luke kornet, and even brandon knight are playing down there i wanted to see how stan and chaundee were shooting from deep, but i couldn't find it.
Here you go. Guess who’s hitting 45.2% from 3? McClung. https://www.proballers.com/basketball/team/3206/south-bay-lakers * Hit the “view more” button to expand the stat categories
f***! The fact that we let them steal him while rostering AB and no one over 6-4 for wing help. WTF!?
yeah, that sucks. he's obviously not a savior, but i thought he was worth an actual look on the varsity.
South Bay the class of the West so far with 8-1 record and rest of the league leaders that only have 1 loss. Well done Myles and scouting department. https://gleague.nba.com/standings/ McClung seems like the next level of basketball up for him is slowing down. 26 points yesterday, continues to lead the team in scoring. Some other team may snatch him before the season is over. Shooting 43.6 after this game from 3 so that's still holding up.' https://stats.gleague.nba.com/players/traditional/?sort=PTS&dir=-1
His height is against him. You have to be really special to play in the league at that size. But he’s got athleticism and can shoot, at this level. Seems like a kid that is tough and keeps working and progressing. Maybe in a year or 2 he could catch on as a bench player if he can still shoot and not be a total liability on defense in the “Bigs”. Haven’t really watched him much or all of this clip yet even. You’re probably right.
yeah, he needs to be watching film on jjb. that's his potential role at the next level. i'm not sure he's as quick or as good a shooter as jjb was, though. also maybe not as strong. jjb was a weird player.
The Bulls just picked up Mac on a 10 day. Good for him. Hope he has big balls and does well in the spotlight of the NBA if and when he gets into games for them. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/south-bay-lakers-guard-mac-185704852.html So who is our G-League resident expert? What happens to these guys and who are they with after these temporary contracts expire. Who ever wants them in the G-League now or back with their original teams?
