time has finally caught up to him it seems

wouldn't surprise me if that injury that kept him out a week or two ago is still lingering

Lebron needs to pass the torch to younger guys like AD and Westbrook just like how Wade stepped aside in Miami. He's brought guys like Westbrook and AD over so that he can enjoy a larger championship window while lessening his load. Enough with the lip service, time to put it into action.

Right. The AD guy that everybody and their mothers here have been killing for being a Beta and inconsistent while not being able to knock down the shots he mostly likes to take. And Westbrook who gets hammered for his decision making with the ball and other assorted brain farts that come along with the good games he can also have as well as inside of them. In LeBron’s closing window of 2 years here to win another ring you now want him to step aside for either of those two guys … because of an entirely different set of circumstances and career trajectories in Miami. Jeezus Rock!

Then what are they here for? Right now as imperfect as all 3 have been its been Westbrook has had the best season out of the trio, wouldn't you agree? The team looks far more dangerous when he ups the tempo and has full control of the offense

Westbrook has put together a good 5 game run. Before that he was the worst thing since carbs according to most.

No I wouldn’t agree, he’s finally starting to show progress though toward being the better player longtime Russ watchers say he gets to be as the seasons progress. But compared to LeBron’s brain and his consistency he’s nowhere close and he’s not some young player that’s going to be here beyond next year if even that. Pass the torch LeBron to that (?), and AD is no leader that has demonstrated a propensity to do so in this window, to go along with all of his current other struggles.

Quite true. But really Russ was pretty awful down the stretch for the first half of this young season. But while Lebron was out Russ slowly put it together and last night Lebron definitely should have given up the ball. He was freaking horrible down the stretch and in OTs. He should have let Westbrook take over as he was playing superbly.

Maybe but even in Cleveland there was a massive difference in guys like Love and Lebron when they got 2 or three days rest.
Before he got hurt he was able to beat good team off the dribble: really haven't seen it since he came back.

Suspect just needs some time playing real games

Lebron did let Westbrook control the game during the 4th and in some of the OT. The issue with the Lakers is terrible defense. You can get on Lebron for a lot of things, but he and Tim Duncan are the most unselfish team players I have ever seen. It doesn't matter who they play with, it works. We saw Westbrook and Lebron work last night on offense. But the team defense was not good. Defensive rebounds cost the Lakers leads and the game. Lack of fundamentals are killing the Lakers. This needs to stop. If I am the coach and you are worried about Lebron being bent over about it, then you lose either way, better go out fighting and telling Lebron to get everyone in position to do the fundamentals since he is the leader.

That was one freaking ugly basketball game from LeBron down the stretch last night.

Lebron attacked the paint twice in regular time and twice in the overtimes. The rest were jump shots apart from two layups Russ found him underneath the basket for.

Abeer has been saying for a little while that our main two stars have just turned into jump shooters. You team that with their inconsistent effort on defence and it’s disappointing.

Remember when LeKaren could get around centers? Good times.

    That day is dead though.

Jump shooting, hero ball, barking at refs and listening to fans.

    Is this your king?

Great news. I was worried we were looking at another 2 weeks without him after that collision and ab re-irritation.

I don't think he's going to go all out for awhile in terms of driving to the hoop

We don't need him to. Just set the tone in the first 6-7mins. of the game. The team feeds off of him.

Oh bleep ... wrecked his abdominis again?

Nobody better be throwing him lobs until he's over this. If off the mark and too high he'll go for it in the heat of the moment and BOOM goes his whole abdomen all over the floor.

He better check himself as well with any fancy look at me dunks that aren't necessary which could stress it.
