I think we could right? I mean Nunn doesn’t sound like he’s coming back any time soon, and Ariza is still rehabbing.

I think the only way we are getting a decent piece back is trading both THT and Nunn. That’s 15m in salary and could net us a player towards 18m. I’d LOVE to swindle the raptors and trade those two for OG Anounoby. Why they may do it: One he is injured and two when siakam comes back he’ll be regulated to a smaller role.

OG is going to be a top 3&D player in this league for the next decade and would solve a huge amount of our problems. He can defend 1-4 amazingly well.

    Westbrook / Rondo
    Reaves / Monk
    OG / Ariza
    Lebron / Melo
    AD / Howard

But that’s a pipe dream. We might have better luck with Bogdanovic from Utah.

i'd do it for anunoby, but not for bogdan. THT is a good, cost-controlled player with potential as a two-way guy who can initiate, defend multiple spots, and play 30mpg. he's had three bad games, but he had three very good games before that. i'm willing to be patient with him this year.

nunn is a mercenary who likely won't be here next year and has already missed 1/4 of the season. so even though i'd like to see what management had in mind when they got him, i think he's clearly the first name in all trade scenarios. and we'll have to hit a single instead of a home run. that's what emptying the cupboard for westbrook and opting not to retain caruso does to your trade flexibility (and why i was generally against both).

Toronto would never do that trade. Anunoby is unreachable with our assets

I would do it if I were them.

THT is raw but has shown to be a potential centerpiece for a rebuilding franchise.

As much potential THT has shown at his best, OG has shown more. The guy is already a top wing defender and close to a 40% shooter. He has had elite efficiency the last two seasons on low usage. In some ways he reminds me of Spurs Kawhi.

I couldn’t see Toronto trading him for less than THT, Nunn and a first. Which I don’t believe we have any left of.

Yeah no way Toronto traded OG for THT. Hes been their best player this season with Siakam coming back from injury. He’s already a legit two way player in the league while THT is still trying to figure things out.

B/R had an outside the box trade suggestion for us. Small move, but addresses our glaring hole.

Don't think we'd use Marc's exception on him because I don't see us adding $4m to roster (tax included), but it you can get it done for those two 2nd rounders and Baze... sign me up.

Yeah anyone useful for Baze is good by me. Baze is a bust.

i'd just scour the rosters of bad teams for wing defenders. bad teams have no use for veteran wing defenders, and we have lots of use for them.

Boogie must have rubbed some folks the wrong way when he was here. We had several opportunities to bring him back and passed on him.

it's doesn't get much less risk than non guaranteed minimum deal though does it?

Not saying we could use him, but for someone, that's pretty much a low risk proposition.
