Very disappointed in him. Defense was his calling card and he can't even do that

We can agree to disagree, that’s ok. I just don’t think he should be starting, sure he was part of the comeback, but maybe we aren’t in that huge a hole that early in the game if he and DJ aren’t playing. And that’s not going to happen because Vogel is stuck on these guys. Yeah it’s not Bradley’s fault he was put on Tatum, that’s on Frank, but he’s going to KEEP doing that if he’s available to him as his defensive security blanket. I just think we need to TRY another player as a starter and see if that does anything, because this one isn’t working, and you’re not subbing for WB, AD, or LeBron. I could be completely wrong, but I want to see for sure, that’s just my take.

I feel for Vogel, he just wants to get our defence going and he sees effort from DJ and AB on that end - even if the results might not be there always. Effort is important and a big reason why Caruso was given so much game time and developed so well here. Same reason why Reaves was getting so much playing time.

We have to take the good with the bad…

Again who do you want to start in his place? Ellington? He’s horrible on D and offense as well so far. 33% from the field and from three as I said …. And he’s a shooter! Monk? We will get torched. He doesn’t play any D. Bazemore? He’s literally unplayable. He has DNP’s the past couple games because he sucks so bad on both ends. And you guys are complaining about Bradley’s defense? This is getting silly. As I mentioned Bradley is actually shooting 38% from three. That’s better than any of our so called shooters.

if we have another lockdown, do we get the same situation with Avery Bradley assuming we make the playoffs?

Hard to be excited about anything AB for me.

Perhaps subconsciously this is what’s going on with the anti AB sentiment. If so I get it to some extent. But he was a big contributor to us getting into the bubble itself. And I won’t fault him for dipping out for his son’s health. There were a lot of unknowns at the time and his son is immuno compromised. I might have done the same thing in his position. The one thing I didn’t agree with or like was him teaming up with Kyrie asking for a player boycott. That wasn’t cool with me.

He shot 35% from three during this 5 game road trip.

Admittedly, he was better defensively yesterday.

Outside of that, I think we see all his activity defensively different than results.

I like Bradley, too. Especially in 19-20.

I think Frank keeps in him the starting 5, though.

The bottom line is he is the best defensive guard we have. Maybe that changes with the returns of Reaves and Nunn. But until then he’s the only guard we can trust defensively. The sad thing is that I thought Bazemore was going to be that guy. But he has been so terrible that he literally has actually become unplayable and now has a bunch DNPs in a row. THT had some great D but lately he’s dropped off.

He definitely fouled him on that play Lol. We got away with one. But more than anything that was one helluva shot by Duarte.

Again, Cranjis, you got a better idea for point of attack defender, from what this squad has shown, since they let KCP, Caruso and Schroder go …. and Reaves has been out? I know he’s smart Xs & 0s and all that, and maybe it’s just me becoming sensitive to all the Vogel criticism (under the circumstances) but this guy is starting to annoy me.

Just a suggestion: why don't we try Russ @ the POA and slot Bradley in a chaser role?

Until we have Reaves back, I think Bron needs to take on more of a wing stopper role.

That would seem logical if Russ showed he was up to it. Maybe I’ve missed it and granted I didn’t follow his “bulldog” days on D in OKC.
